I think we bought a bed lastnight. I’ve been wanting to upgrade from a queen to a king for quite a while and Holt finally gave the greenlight the other day.
So on a whim, we stopped into a showroom for a mattress factory and found a VERY comfy set that is topped with Latex foam rubber. My pillow is that material and I love it. So this bed is UBER comfy and $2100, but on sale for $1799. Then the owner guy comes in, drops $300 off the price, throws in a free bedframe, delivery/set-up, and says they’ll pay the sales tax. Oh, and they’re custom making it for us so it will be covered in this really soft, bamboo fabric. Should be ready in 2 weeks. We put down a very small deposit (refundable), but I still think we should try a few more places out just to make sure we can’t find something we like just as much or better for the same or less money. Is $1500 (for a normally $2100+tax set) too much for a king-size matress set?? I have no frame of reference here.

Got into work today at 715 and have been on the phone with different people from 730 until a few moments ago. That’s 3 straight hours of blah, blah, blah.
But in a few hours I’m outta here until next week, so I don’t care. And Marie and I are hoping for a fricken blizzard on Sunday so we have an excuse to stay home and cuddle as opposed to getting in the car to visit our families afar. Cuddling is by all means a preferred activity.
Hope you guys out west aren’t being too impacted by the rain, floods and mudslides. Seems pretty intense in some areas.

^Yeah, it’s pretty wet out here… I don’t know where all this stuff is coming from, but it can go away now. We bailed on Santa Monica and headed to the desert but it’s still just as wet out here… WTF? 
Supposed to finally stop tomorrow, which is good cause I need me some sun!
Anywho… hope everyone’s day is nice. Gonna try to do pretty much nothing today, which means I’ll probably work all day. 
Haven’t done one second of shopping and don’t plan to! 
I’d honestly rather pull my teeth out one by one with a pair of rusty pliers than shop… but good to see that some of you are keeping our economy going!

Holiday eve.
Looking forward to getting Makenzie back after a 6 day absence!! I’m about to go nuts without her. Got all her gifts wrapped and under the tree, so nothing left to do but snuggle up and watch movies. So excited! It’s just going to be myself, Holt, and Kenz this year, but we’re all pretty pumped about it. First xmas in the new house with my awesome family…what’s better?
Finally got a solid night’s sleep albeit not a full 8 hrs. I feel recharged, though.
My husband decided to get drunk lastnight for shits and giggles, and let me tell you, it was one of the most entertaining nights in a while, ha. What a character!
So, anyhow.

Mornin’ folks. Stayed at my Mom’s house last night in preparation for the big family madness today. Got to open my gifts from my Mom which included both the Coral Sky and Alpine DVD’s. Giggity.
Also I need to give a shout out to my Mom for being awesome. Her friends’ kids go to school with Trey’s daughters in NY and said they had a MSG package auction for a fundraiser for their school that she was bidding on as a gift for me for Christmas. It was 4 backstage passes to the 1111 show with a signed poster from that night. That would have been so freaking awesome, but she said she stopped bidding at $2500

i offered to work today since our holidays are usually short. probably get off around 12 and then go visit the family. we’re supposed to get snow over the next two days. i hope it holds off a bit because putting up dishes in the snow doesn’t sound like too much fun.
