Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

Jae, have a great half day at work. Hope the stuff I sent you as SS keeps you pumped for MSG. Hoping to meet up with you then.

Merry Christmas everyone. Had a wonderful day yesterday, the family will be over today and then Marie and I get in the car and drive to NY tomorrow and Monday to visit our brothers and sisters. Am in tune with all of it and have Christmas songs in my head almost all the time now, except for when I woke up this morning a few moments ago.

For some reason, the sound of 'in and out of focus, time turns elastic" rallyed me into consciousness. Wonder why.

Have a great day!

Thanks! We’ll have to meet up for a pre show drink.
Well I got to work and had no work orders assigned to me so I’m just gonna help someone today. This should go pretty quickly.

well it snowed here last night which is rare for SC. i was on the way to work and the boss called and said we were on a 1 hour delay but to call him about 7 to see if we were working because it’s still snowing in charlotte.

i hope i don’t have to work, even though it’s just a little snow it’s no fun driving a work van in it. plus i already saw a couple of cars sliding around. since we rarely get snow here they don’t keep the roads too clear because it’s just gonna melt in the afternoon anyways.

looks like the snow we got here is gonna move on up north and turn into a blizzard

Morning all.

Got about a foot of snow this weekend.

Had a good christmas, but I couldn’t buy groceries on xmas eve (ran out of time thanks to my fucking mother who was so late bringing Makenzie back that I had to get in the car and meet them half way) and had to scrounge around to put together some sort of dinner. I even tried Walmart (I avoid shopping there) and it was closed! Since when do they close EVER?? Thankfully I made up for it yesterday after making a b-line for the first open grocery store.

Today I officially start my personal training. 3 times a week for the next 2 or 3 months depending on cash flow and success. I did one class last week and it really wasn’t what I expected. Yeah, I was sore, but I wasn’t wiped out like I thought I would be. There were 2 other people: a guy over 60 years old and a young girl, pretty chunky but she had been going there since August. They were winded and whining like you wouldn’t believe and I barely broke a sweat. Now, I’m not in good shape, but compared to these people, I feel like an olympian, lol. Hopefully that’s not as intense as it gets or I’ll be wasting my $$!

Be well, Pa!

Beat ya by about 6 inches, Ollie. Take a look.

Plus with the wind chill it’s about 8 degrees out right now. Gonna take me most of the day to dig out around the house.

But I don’t feel as bad as all the people stranded in airports after the holiday, or for the folks trying to come east for Phish. The NY area airports won’t be corrected until Wednesday according to reports this morning.
The snow is actually light in texture, but with the high winds, it’s blowing back across cleared roads and runways, so it ain’t quite over yet.

Marie and I are kind of ready to attack the snow, actually. We vegged out yesterday all day, so we’re kind of ready to break out of the “cabin” and start doing something again. Should be an adventure to say the least.

I didn’t turn my computer on for like two days. That’s a rarity for me. Kinda nice though. Looks like I’ll be checking weather and airline updates for the next 72 hours. Anyone know if this shit is still supposed to be going on Thursday morning? I’m already freaking out.

Mornin all.

That is a ton of snow Bill, love that somewhere else is getting pounded, we’ve had our share!!!

Hope the Holidays is treating everyone great.

Much love!!!

Good Mornin, folks…

Sending positive vibes to all who need to get to Worcester tonight!

You East Coasters and your wacky weather!!

Yesterday was a rough one… I filled myself up with Xmas Cheer (AKA Great Lakes Christmas Ale & Capt Morgan Private Stock)… and spent all day face down in pillow.

Today is much better.

^hate it when that happens. slightly hungover Christmas morning, myself.

Remember to rotate as to keep breathing…

Hangover’s are the worst now. I fear them and rarely drink anymore because of them.

Morning!

Only 2 people, including me, showed up for work yesterday (bad roads), so hopefully the rest of the staff can come in today.

Went to my trainer lastnight and they were closed because of the weather…so I went home and pigged out on squash casserole instead ha. Very disappointing that they were closed, but I’ve got 2 more sessions this week.

Got another childless week as she is with her dad’s parents this this time. I got her back for 2 whole days before I had to let her go again. It sucks. Grandparents suck. All they do is take your child away or make you feel bad if you don’t let them :frowning: And of course the child wants to go because they get to spend the week showered with anything and everything they could ever want. Then when they get home, the parent ends up as the killjoy because “Nana let’s me have/do_____” or my favorite, “I’ll just tell Nini to get ____for me”. It’s infuriating beyond imagination! It takes me several days sometimes to de-program her back to normal which is exhausting. Sorry, rant over. I’m sure Fone can type up something wonderful from the other perspective that will make me feel horrible for my piss poor attitude

Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Hope you guys have a great day!

Ahh, good ol’ hangovers…

Don’t worry Nonnie, you’ll have her back to normal in no time.

Nice warm-up show last night (pun haha :lolno: )

Gonna be a scorcher tonight, maybe show of the run.

Have a good day out there Pa!

Woke up this morning…

Two inches of water in work basement…

Dank heater.

Whoa, water in basement is always a fun perspective.

How you doin Pa.

Supposed to be workin hard right now to meet some deadlines, decided to say hello for a sec though. Goin to Worcester again tonight, glad to report Phish is still killing it. Life goes better with a fully functional Phish.

Ollie, I understand that all to well as well! Good luck!

Will, Dank heaters rule!

All others, Mornin!!!

Much love to you all!

Set list looked nice last night, but I’m just saying…

Good morning.

Hope everyone who got to the show last night had a most excellent time. I think smokey’s right-- tonight just might be the show of the run!

Gotta do a bunch of bs work today. No fun.

Ollie, consider yourself lucky! My in-laws live 3000 miles away and my parents are 65 year-old retired hippy/yuppie hybrids that believe they are still 35 and manage to have something going on nearly every single weekend. Needless to say, doojette and I don’t get much alone time. I would absolutely love for them to take my child away and spoil him for a while! Maybe it would turn his face from this --> :imp: to this --> for a few seconds.

But, at least he finally got his driver’s license and we can send him out to run errands for us when we need an hour to ourselves.

Have a good one, pa peeps.

Everybody knows the 29th is ALWAYS the best night of a New Years run.

:wtf:

^Secret show!

But I just think the factors surrounding this evening are all the makings of a killer Phish show: 3 days after Christmas, 3 days before NYE, still tix available, lots of folks who are snowed in and breaking their backs to get there (many of whom were forced to miss last night), absolutely freezing weather, no HD cameras floating all over stage, northeastern geographical location, a venue with a history of awesome shows, Mike’s/Bowie/Sample/Possum all already taken care of and first show of the run out of the way…

Yup… methinks tonight just may be the one.
