^ Speaking of sleeping Hank, do you think that you are more tired now because you are at a higher elevation? Like you’re getting less oxygen now then you are used to? I always feel like when I’m in BC I can barely stay awake for 12 hours a day, and my mom says that lots of people that come out there from Saskatchewan have that problem because of the huge shift in elevation.
I bet the biggest problem most cities in the South have is just snow removal. I mean, if you can get the plows out there right when it starts falling, you can keep the roads clean enough that it’s “safe” to drive out there, but I imagine many cities in the South don’t own multiple snow plows/graters, and some probably don’t even own one. I think our city has 50 or so, but you’d never really know it by driving around here some days. Stupid lazy city workers.
EDIT: Funny, as I was typing that, my dad calls and tells me he’s on the highway heading to a site meeting and there are just tons of cars in the ditch including an upside down SUV. Like I say, nothing really ever shuts down here because of the weather. People still go to work, school, etc, because if we let the weather stop us we would probably only have a handful of days each winter where people would actually be working.
Anyway, not a good morning so far OKP. I was halfway to work and Erin calls and tells me that our other car ('88 Ford Tempo bitches!) just got broken into last night and they busted the ignition. At least they didn’t steal it…I guess, and the car was unlocked so they didn’t need to smash a window. It just sucks though. Yet another unexpected expense…another roadblock on my way to financial independence.
