woooooo, good morning. my monday today but it’s OK. yesterday was one of my favorite days of skiing ever so my legs need chill time anyway.
my first friends to come visit me from home will be here tonight! I’m pumped about that. they’re moving out to portland and are stopping here for a night on their way.

Taken outside my office a few moments ago. Certainly not as much snow as Hank sees, but it’s always nice to see the white stuff falling. Just hope it doesn’t take me too long to get home today.

Sitting in psych class startimg off the day. I refuse to brimg my laptop to class so I dont go on facebook or espn, but I got a kindle with 3G and now here I am.
And Doug I feel your pain. I just cant figure out my french press, and I either make too weak or strong. Never just right though.
Well I can attest that once you get it right, french pressed coffee is fucking amazing!
The biggest trick is how you grind the beans compared to how much you put it. Pick a fixed volume to use and change the amount of grind, or vice versa.

Gonna hop on the bike and head to the Farmer’s Market in a minute… not a whole lotta time to get my shopping done today… but I am determined to enjoy at least an hour of this beautiful weather.
Threw some new shoes on the Jeep yesterday, too. All terrains! 
I’ve been running mudders since '07, so this should be quite an interesting change. Heard lots of good things about these bad boys, so I’m hoping they take on the trail nicely.

No but seriously, it’s depressing. It was supposed to snow pretty nice here yesterday, and instead it friggin’ rained all day! Then the torturous part of it is, overnight it got down in the teens, so now it’s super cold out, but we have nothing to show for it. And it’s gonna be in the 50’s this weekend! 
All I want is a couple more good snowfalls before the winter ends. Is that too much to ask?! I saw Providence got like, a shit ton last night, along with eastern Mass.
So yeah, about to drive to Physics Lab. At 9:00 in the freaking morning. You people have a good day, now, y’hear? Gotta go.

Yesterday was a really rough day, but coming home to find that in my mailbox was awesome. To receive an unsolicited favor from somebody I’ve never met was really uplifting. AND it was the perfect distraction to watch in bed last night!

Just shovelled out the driveway again, and even though I told Dan last night in chat that I was about done with the snow, it was just such a beautiful sunrise this morning, that I’ve changed my tune back again to appreciating it.

Anyone notice how lame it is that T-Mobile is ripping off the same “Mac Guy chats with PC Guy” with that chick in the pink outfit being the T-Mobile phone? Quite lame. I’d say they lose my business just on unoriginality even if the chick is quite hot.
Actually, I live pretty far south man, I would have to drive either up to the ski resorts in northwestern NC or drive up the coast six or eight hours. Honestly, I don’t want to go on a vacation and see snow, I want to see it in my damn yard every morning and night during the winter. There’s probably a ton out there where you are, but not where I am.
But I actually am thinking about going up to the ski resort area near Boone this weekend. I don’t know what kind of activities they have for people who don’t know how to ski, but they might have something. Maybe I could go snowshoeing or something. A trip up there would be better than nothing. But that’s why it’s such a bitch in Asheville: there’s snow on all three sides of me all winter, less than an hour away, but not here!
