Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

Dude, they had Taco Doritos in a convenience store out in the middle of the mountains. Total middle of nowhere mom-and-pop joint, and they had em. I had never heard of them or eaten them before, but the bag looked old-style and had a little sombrero on it.

Good morning folks. Actually just got back from class. Had a late start today (10:00 instead of 9:00) due to a little snow that fell last night. It was definitely not enough snow to justify a late start, but I think the reason they had one is because of the ice on the mountain backroads. They get really slippery when it snows, and you could easily slide off a 200 foot (or higher) cliff if you’re not careful. Very nice to have the ground covered in white, even if it won’t be here very long.

Got Yonder Mountain tonight, pretty pumped! I was hoping the snow would hit us harder last night because last time Yonder came, it was a pretty decent 3 or 4 inches on the ground. Still pumped though. I have to make an executive decision as to whether or not I’m going tonight. I have a Physics test tomorrow morning, so I might not go if I can sell my ticket to someone outside the venue. We have another night of Yonder tomorrow night anyway, so yeah.

Anyways, have a good one people. Go forth and do great things.

Well they did just do a “throwback” (cause those are all the rage these days) bag of Taco Doritos, but they were the new recipe. I got all fucking excited when I saw them, but when I ate them I was let down.

The new recipe comes in this bag (and the throwback bag):

While the old recipe (the deliciousness one) came in this bag:

Mornin…

Be well all, loves!!!

Good morning.

It’s Friday people, go do Friday things!

Mornin Dougster. Morning Pa.

Working from home this morning, then meeting Marie for lunch so we can process our passport paperwork at the county clerks office across the street from where she works in Freehold, boyhood home of the Boss. Didn’t get home until almost 8 last night so I can do a few work related things this morning and then comp the rest of the day for the 12 hours I put in yesterday.

This weekend is another painting weekend for me. Working on our bedroom. We’re having house guests in late March and Marie is caught up in making a good impression. Their my friends from school and they could care less about such things, but it’s important to her, so it’s important to me. It’s just that, as always, she’s having a terrible time deciding on a color.

But what’s cool now, is that Home Depot has these 3 dollar sample jars that they’ll mix for you to try on your walls first. We’ve purchased four of them so far, and she’s rejected every one of em. It’s still better than my having to re-paint a room because she didn’t like the color she chose. Have done that at least twice in the past.

Have a great weekend people.

Morning dudes. Happy Friday. Here’s to hope & hoisting coffees in the name of same said hope. And to Hoist. And to coffee.

It’s FRIDAY…wahoo!!! Let’s have some fun tonight!

Took today off work, and enjoying being lazy. Starting to rewatch LOST.

RRE was amazing.

Found a great bar with ridiculous taps too.

Nugget Nectar, Fade to Black, and Hoptimum… never seen them on tap before.

Well, good morning, sort of. Just got back from an exam. Think I did pretty well.

Saw Yonder Mountain last night, and they were fucking ON FIRE! This band just gets better and better every single time I see them. They played New Speedway Boogie and Althea! So sick. And the best part? I get to go do it again tonight, baby! Asheville seems to be the only place that they do a two night run in on their winter tours. This is at least the second year in a row that we’ve been the only one who’s gotten a 2 night run. Alright by me!

Have a great Friday people!

Mornin!!

Great homemade burgers last night at home…

Gophers Basketball team is DONE…

Loves…

Woke to -11 air temp today, but they say 30 above by Sunday… ok…

Oragne Krush invaded The Barn last night (well, kind of). Good win for the Illini.

Good morning to all, going home to Chicago and seeing Les Mis tomorrow.

Morning. When I was a young child, I watched a television show called The Magic Garden. It had 2 women named Paula and Carole and they hung out in a (very fake looking) garden and sang songs, told jokes and stories, and talked to a squirrel puppet named Sherlock who lived in the tree. I watched it every single day. I loved it. I lived it. I had their record (the only thing my mom ever ordered me off of TV) and listened over and over. Even as teenagers, my dorky friends and I listened to this record and sang the songs. I still sing the songs and teach them to my niece.

I am telling you this because my (and my longtime friend’s) dorky asses are driving to NJ tomorrow to see these 2 women do a show of Magic Garden tunes! With the original Sherlock joining them! And they will show clips from the show and discuss them! And there will be a meet and greet after!!! :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:

So yeah, just another average boring weekend. Nothing big or exciting.

^Remember this show distinctly, but mostly from a prurient perspective.

Morning OKP. Had two gdaughters sleep over last night and just finished making everyone breakfast. Heading out to buy some materials for renovating the closet in our bedroom in a few and just stopped by to say, hey.

^Ha… whoops… gotta delete that.

Is that like transsexual posting?

^Haha… yep. :shifty:

Morning! Listening to Yes a whole lot lately. Right now I’ve got the House of Blues live album on from the 1999 tour playing, love this stuff. Drinking more coffee than ever probably.

Bride’s planning to drive to NYC to see Nellie McKay tonight, hope it happens for her … I’m hoping to use the time to get some work done around here & chill w/the kids. Maybe pizza is in order! ::looks into finance box::

Happy Valentines Day!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Good Morning!!!

Leaving tomorrow for Zimbabwe!!!

Be well Pa! See you in a couple weeks!!

Busy few days I’ve had. I can’t even remember the last time I got a chance to get on here. That’s scary.

Things are moving along at the house, she’s getting more and more stuff out and the place should be ready to be listed for sale by the first. I sure hope so, now that I’ve got no reason to live an hour and fifteen minutes away from work it is making the commute a lot more unbearable. Can’t wait until that’s over and I can move on out.

In good spirits today though. Have a presentation to give in about 20 and my students have their first exam of the semester tomorrow so I’m getting tons of kids by my office to ask questions. I’ve never taught in any way before so I hope I’m helping them. If not I’m still getting paid so whatever.

^^ Safe travels Brett. Bring me back lots of ivory. You can never have too much ivory.

^ Doug. Glad to hear you’re almost ready to list. Hopefully the sale happens pretty quick and you can move onward and upward. Best of luck friend.
