Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

'Morning Pa.

CSNY cover band; Marakesh Express: the CSNY Experience is pretty impressive stuff. They nailed those harmonies and the instrumental parts too. The keyboard player was hammering his Hammond B-3 so hard that he broke a key and consequently sliced his finger open. I’ve never seen that happen, but shit, poor guy busted his vintage B-3…he’s gotta be right pissed off. Anyway, I think they’re from the Chicago area or something, but I’d recommend checking them out if you get a chance.

Today is gonna be all about cleaning and cooking and now that Bill mentions it, a Blood Mary (or the vastly superior Caeser) might be a nice way to wind down this hectic schedule.

Good Morning Oh Kee Pa. I love and miss thee so. I wish I could say I haven’t been around here because of all the fun and exciting stuff happening in my life, but I can’t. It’s mostly because I have been busy at work and I stay late and then loaf around while trying to get the basic daily tasks done so that when I do make it around to leisure computer time, I’m exhausted and have the energy only for an episode or so of something on Netflix.

I generally try not to spend TOO much of the weekend on the computer, but I have yet another cold (my 40th or so this year) because of working with germ infested children (the downside to an otherwise very rewarding job) and I’m trying to take care of it quickly through quality rest, fluids, and over the counter pharmaceutical intervention (nothing to say here, just wanted to complete the parenthese hat trick).

Feel better, Katie, I’ve also been a sick for about a week and a half now. It sucks… at times I don’t even want to smoke nugs… and that’s not at all like me!

Hopefully this nice weather will perk us up and get us out of our funk!

^ and ^^ Hey you northerners, hope you two feel better. I’ll be passing by your area tomorrow afternoon on my way up the Thruway to Syracuse for a meeting on Tuesday. Staying at a Holiday Inn in Liverpool.

Morning everyone.

I had a pretty strange dream last night. Dane Cook was trying to fight a hologram of Dave Chappelle in the parking lot of McDonalds. But he kept hitting the asphalt because you can’t hit a hologram. Dave was mocking him. They were blocking the drive through so when someone would pull up Dave would yell out their order into the speaker for them. Pretty weird.

Morning Jae, dudes. I’m feeling radically normal right now. Not good or bad, not tired or energetic, just like plain ol’ regular.

Must be all the fiber.

I’m tired.

Morning Pa. Nice start to the week there Brett.

Picking up the rental car shortly and then it’s five hours to Syracuse. Am not a real fan of business travel, don’t mind the work part of it. Just don’t like being alone in hotel rooms. Will probably spend some time on here later tonight, just so I’m close to some friends.

Have a great week.

^I hear ya! Of course, video chat makes things easier nowadays. Gotta get Marie a webcam!

But a five hour drive in solitude is always better than being elbow to elbow with strangers on a plane, imo! Just keep those tunes blasting! Safe travels!

And gooooooood moooornin paaaaaa!

Morning all.
Found out last week that I got passed over for a promotion.

Ahh, the joys of corporate America, and all the BS that comes with it.

So here I sit, on the 'Pa. Wonder if that has anything to do with being passed over.

So yeah, morning to all.

So it is Monday!

Mornin!!!

Loves to you all!

Planning and thinking about some Phish this summer…

Yeah, back to work!

Morning okp, (but probably afternoon by the time i finish typing)

Woke up kind of blue to begin with and then got a pretty bad grade on a project. It’s a gen ed class so it’s not a huge bummer but it’s a wake up call for me to try a little harder this month. Finals are only 4 weeks away.

I’m in kind of a negative place lately where minor problems and irritations feel like they’re building to a head. I listened to the Walnut Creek DWD->Mike’s>Simple->Hydrogen>Paug though and I feel head boppin better already. Gotta be productive this week.

I think I just woke someone up with a fart. Have a great week people!!

Good afternoon! I went to a poetry reading this morning, and lemme tell ya, it was so much cooler than I expected. This one girl, man, she was just pouring her heart and soul out in front of this whole auditorium, talking about her heritage of being from here in the Blue Ridge Mountains and all this, it was so powerful. I was seriously blown away. The poet who was in charge of the thing was a lady named Glenis Redmond, and obviously she was the best, but she kept the emphasis on the students, and the students were phenomenal. But definitely look up Glenis Redmond if you are interested in this type of thing, or if you’re not. You might like what you see/hear.

Hot outside here today. 83ËšF outside, fucking sucks. Most people are excited and just now starting to come out of hibernation, and now I’m preparing to go into hibernation. It’s nice to have air conditioning folks, that is for sure. I think I’m gonna wait til it’s not so fucking hot outside to mow my lawn.

Have a good one people!

I enjoy the cold crisp air as much as the next man, Edward, but at this point, I wouldn’t mind an 83 at all.

Morning from dark and rainy Syracuse. Well, actually Liverpool, NY, just a tad north and west. Today is going to be a long tough one. Meetings start at nine, a working lunch until 3 or 4 and then the five hour drive home. Have to be back in the office tomorrow to handle yet more nonsense, so I don’t even get an extra travel day out of this trip.

Hope everyone has a very productive Tuesday in whatever it is you have to produce today. And if it’s relaxation that’s your ultimate goal, may you do that well also.

Morning Bill! and Pa!!

I’m hitting the road for biznass as well today.

Just a couple hour drive over to Western Michigan (Grand Rapids) Doug!

I have to put on a seminar tomorrow morning about the risks involved with B.I.M. (Building Information Modeling) to a bunch of architects and engineers. FUN!

Then its back over to the east side to put the same seminar on for the local Detroit clients.

SLOPPY NCAA Championship game last night, I mean, that was horrid.

Tigers continue to sucky suck.

Opening Day on Friday though!!! Can’t wait to get a hot dawg!!

Be good Pa

Top of morning to you OKP! I go from slow to crazy at my office in like 20 minutes…It really takes a lot out of an old guy like myself…I am definitely not 20 anymore. Mornings seem to be difficult and my body hurts somewhere new everyday.

I need Phish… :unamused:

Morning!

Back to work, boo. I got an unexpected day off yesterday after taking Makenzie to the drop in clinic at the pediatrician. We went in for sore throat and swollen tonsils to get her checked for strep. Negative strep and mono tests and a CBC showed her white blood cell count was perfect. No infection anywhere. She’s theoretically healthy as a horse. Hopefully it’s just some sinus issues. It just so happened she was limping in pain from rolling her ankle in a soccer game on Sunday. After an x-ray showed a possible sublaxation (not quite a dislocation, but it means something’s not exactly where it should be) we were sent to an orthopedic clinic to have her checked out. 2 copays later, she’s apparently fine. I noticed her ankle made a miraculous recovery when her buddy showed up around 6 wanting her to jump on the trampoline with him.

Anywho, it’s Tuesday, but it doesn’t feel like it.
I’m on call tonight. Yuck.
One hell of a storm blew through lastnight. Slept with both windows wide open. It was heavenly. More bad weather coming today.
Try and enjoy your Tuesday!
::hugs::

Twins continue to be sucky suck as well. Opening game on Friday here as well! I’ll be there drinking and cheering for a win!!!

Mornin!

Loves to you all!

I hope this weather continues to get warmer!!!

Well, good mornin.
Gotta get me a physical this mornin! Haven’t been to the doctor in who knows how long… so that oughta be interesting. Gonna get a good recommendation for a sweet vasectomy doc so I can finally go ahead with the ol’ snip snip! :astonished:

Whatta morning!

Get to enjoy a couple days of sunny socal before heading back to the east coast for a bit.

Oh yeah… and unsubscribed from the Democrats mailing list this mornin! That should make Edward and Fugazi happy. Truth be told, there’s not a whole lot of chance I’ll be voting for anyone other than Obama (unless Gary Johnson somehow becomes the GOP nominee)… but his speeches and campaign emails make me a little nauseous. Don’t think I can handle them this early on in the year.

Anyways… have a good one, folks! Do something awesome!
