Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

We all do this, don’t we? It’s called a rationalization.

Becaused there’s an inferred posture of reverence in the ceremony and in the culture, there’s a greater social acceptability of this for some reason. We always seem more pleased with the man who says “excuse me” for his actions, than we are for the one who remains unaware of others as he plows through life.

But the only real truth in any of the possible divergent behaviors before or after the event, is that the deer still dies. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing and the rationales that justify either position, are just encumberences of that truth, and pasttimes of the mind. . . . . .

I think this is a fine description of how I feel too. Let the hunters do their thing but I’m not going to weep when I read a story of a guy getting mauled by a bear.

I don’t want to bash the religions but some have a bit of a place here too. Everything is taught that this world centers around man…even with the “made in God’s image” thing. So that gives some people (those who buy into that) the superiority complex that humans are just allowed to do what they want. Kind of like how the anti-abortion folks have a problem killing a fetus the size of a pea but don’t have a problem swatting flies or killing moles that wander into their property. I find it hard to believe that any God would put that much work into making so many amazing and incredible animals and then saying “Eh, now I’ll make a species that is allowed to slaughter those things without remorse.” Something seems off there.

At the same time, if animals are allowed to slaughter each other for food then humans can too. Sadly it’s not always for food.

Good morning

And to you Doog.

Took a mild antihistamine last night before bed to thwart off some ealy symptoms, and it worked except that my ass is dragging this morning a bit. Could also be the fact that five hours of sleep a night isn’t really cutting it.

But if I can get by today, I can sleep a little later tomorrow morning since I’m not coming into the office. Have a urologist checkup tomorrow at noon, so I’ll be working from home most of the day around it. Always a bit uncomfortable about seeing Dr. DeSalvo. Can’t understand how you specialize in people’s waste management systems such that you spend your day poking and prodding at people’s plumbing.

Oh well, he doesn’t seem to be smiling while he’s examining me, so I guess that’s good.

Here’s me contacting the animal spirit world to smooth things over:

We talked, THEY’RE cool, everything is the same as it ever was…

BTW, I get down on venison all year long and it supplies a lot of my food when I need some meat for tacos, chili, spaghetti, burgers…it’s all good! And venison tender loin may be one of the finest cuts of meat on planet Earth.

However, I did not shoot a deer this year. :imp:
I’ll have my dad take a doe for meat this weekend and he’ll give it to me I’m sure.

Anyhoooooo…MORNING PA!!

^ bahahaha! So THAT’S what you were doing! Now it makes sense.

So you are a vegan then? :unamused:

Sorry you did not get yours BRETT!!!

Mornin!

Cold temps are rolling in for the “North-Midwest” folks this weekend, time for a real coat and some mittens…

Be well!

Loves to you all!!!

Good morning … this coffee is evergood. I don’t know what I mean by that, but it’s likely funny. I suspect I’m posting right now. Anyone see that story today on the tornado damage? “Likely” tornado events and “suspect tornado” activity … what kinda teh F*k& weather language is that, right?

^They probably have certain criteria that must be met in order to state definitely whether a tornado had actually formed, touched down, and was responsible for the damage.

I mean does a tornado have to actually be within a certain distance of or actually touch the ground?
Does it have to be in contact with the ground for a minimum amount of time to be declared an official tornado?
If a tornado touches down at night and runs a few thousand feet, damages some buildings, but nobody sees it, is it still a tornado?

Crap like that.

Good morning…Chicago is freeking freezing today.

One week til Turkey Day! I used to hate Thanksgiving because it wasn’t Xmas…now I love it. Food, Laziness and Family? --honestly, what could be better…ok, forget I said the family part, but come on, we love em’ don’t we!

I want love, but not sure about loves

“I don’t want your crummy food … OR YOUR FREAKY LOVE!!” ~ Baby Mister Mental from The Tick, “Devil In Diapers” episode, third season I think.

Man, I miss The Tick. Classic show. SPOOOOOON!!

The fact that you took time to acknowledge it, shows you actually thought about it and that shows a caring soul!

That well is not so deep… 'I’ll bet you a live phish show we can retrieve it at a later date!

Hey, good morning.

Aren’t you just so destroyed that Ashton and Demi have split?

Aren’t you just really annoyed that you know what I’m talking about?

There are so many serious issues in the world today, and that’s the lead story on most news services and internet news web sites this morning. We are really so doomed as a species.

But I get to work from home this morning, and it’s a very chilly Fall morning, but so bright and beautiful. Nearly all of the leaves are off the trees around the house, so I know I’ll be spending a good deal of time later today and tomorrow scooping them up and placing them at the curb. It’s not a chore I particularly dislike, at least not at this time of my life.

Have a great end to the week…

^MORNING BILL!!!

HOPEFULLY, my leaves are done for the year.

I talked to my neighbor who owns a landscaping business and he told me to mow the leaves with no bag on the mower to mulch them, then go back over and mow with a bag on to scoop them up. Turns like 10 bags of leaves into a couple.

Good stuff!

Going to see Paul Simon with Val tonight. Actually very excited about this show. Not gonna be a rager, but still gonna be cool to see a legend perform.

Got my good friend’s 30th birthday tomorrow, should be fun.

MORNING PA!!!

WEEKEND GREAT, YOU SHALL HAVE!!!

^Paul is fantastic in concert most of the time. He’s always been a great entertainer and you won’t be disappointed.

On the otherhand, dont’ ever go see Garfunkel in concert. Great voice, but not much else.

Good morning. I’m tired. I need a day off. Only one I’m going to get off between now and December 8 is Thanksgiving Day. Still, can’t wait for some turkey coma.

I would LOVE to see Paul live!!!

Good Mornin!!!

Played some Tiger Woods 2011 Golf last night, actually some fun! Cocktail, vape and some Wii Woods Golf, fun. Finished a round in time to watch that football game last night. Was it college or NFL? LOL

Be well all!

Much Loves to you all!

VERY COLD here, looking like a touch of the white shit coming in too…

Meh!
