got a pic? ![]()
First two nights were off the hook. That continued through the end of Roses from set 2 Sunday. Then things calmed down a bit too much.
So much to do before leaving for Starlake. My manuscript has been rejected twice already so my boss and I need to regroup and think of a game plan. I’m a little bummed, but not too shocked. It’s probably going to be a big hassle to rewrite/reformat, but I’m just going to look forward to seeing ze pheesh this weekend. Should be a laugh. Setlist looked pretty good, a lot of tunes being played these days. Short jams and such it seems. Not saying that’s a bad thing, just a thing.
^Once you’ve had a fresh shot of Phish, your work will look clearer to you. It’s a fact. Phish music has been known to help people with their research,
Morning 'Pa.
Have you heard Phish is touring? ![]()
Heat is coming to NJ today and tomorrow. Temps in the mid 90s and humid taboot. Have been watering everything like crazy to give them one last shot before the heat.
It’s Wednesday and school is out, so I’ll probably be hanging most of the day with Jaime. Know he’s been jonsing to come over for more ‘target practice’ with the Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle, so I may go over and pick him up earlier than usual.
Have a great Hump Day and more great music from Phish tonight!
Gooood morning. Second day of 90+ degree weather. Going to baseball game tonight. I’m not bringing my mitt, I am bringing a bat to hit them back.
Mornin!
Loves to you all!
Phish seems to be having phun!
Cannot wait until next week!
Be well all!
^Did we just get the “Tuck Show”? Kind of like the “Wipeout Show”?
^Or “Naked Guy” from Charlottesville
Hey, good morning!
So I get a text from my little sister last night asking if I’ve talked to my dad yesterday. He drove out to Vancouver on the weekend and was supposed to pick her up for supper yesterday, and as of 10:30 had not shown up. She’s tried calling him and he’s not answering his phone. I really have no way of getting a hold of him. I’m hoping he just forgot to pick her up, since he is incredibly forgetful, but he’s normally not that bad.
Sitting here wondering if my dad’s alright. Funny how the tables turn as you get older.
^Hope all works out Devin!
Mornin!
Loves to you all!
What a great show last night, I mean, I loved it… That two day run is/was simply incredible… Phish is on, IMHO!
Ok, meetings and work all day!
Be well!!!
It’s 442 am and don’t know whether I should be here or in the Good Night Oh Kee Pa thread.
Up early because I’m all wound up about this weekend. About to step back in time to meet friends and classmates that I haven’t seen in 50 years since elementary school. I’m also going to hang with my seventh grade teacher, who is in her 80s and still working for the Catholic church as a nun. (Hope she doesn’t smack me too hard when she learns about what I’ve done in all this time)
A little over half of the 52 kids in my eigth grade class and their spouses will be coming together again for a series of gatherings over the next three days in White Plains NY the town in which I grew up.(notice I didn’t end that sentence in a preposition, eg, ‘the town I grew up in’? Sister Raymond would definitely smack me if I spoke like that)
Looking forward to this very much, yet I’m totally anxious about how to react to seeing everyone again. Some of these people were my ‘best friends’ that I spent most of my waking moments with in a classroom or hung around with when school wasn’t in session. One of them, Bobby Kavanaugh, a retired teacher living in Newton MA where he raised his family, reminded me recently in an email exchange about watching the 57 world series at my house together when Lew Burdette and the Milwaukee Braves beat the Yankees in seven games. And the funny thing about it is I barely have any memory of that.
I think that’s what’s going to be the key part of this weekend, ie., filling each other’s memory gaps about our own lives. Bobby (who wants to be called ‘Bob’ now, which is tough for me because I only knew him as Bobby) barely recalled the the rocky hill behind the Swank Cleaners where we spent hours in fantasy play or just hanging out in the shade on the rocks eating Devil Dogs and drinking Cokes, each about a nickel apiece.
Know it’s going to be a long weekend for Marie, but she’s kind of curious as well to find out some things about me that I’ve forgotten. But we’re headed up early today to stop at Sunnyside, the home of author Washington Irving, and then to the Rockefeller estate just north of Sunnyside before you get to Sleepy Hollow. We love poking around museums that were originally people’s homes.
Hope you all have a great end to the week and Phish fills your weekend with some great music.
Hey Bill, have a friggin’ blast man!!!
Sounds like good times and also makes me feel a lil dumb since I can’t remember much from the age.
Somehow I picture scenes from “The Sandlot” while reading your recap of days past.
HAVE FUN SAGE!!!
Okay, I can do this.
I need to get through about 4 hours of work and then I have a wedding to attend basically all day.
Then find the need to sleep tonight.
Then wake up and hit the road for Star Lake.
LET’S DO IT!!!
MORNING PA!!!
Phish tomorrow. Ohhhh yeeeeaaaaah
Good morning … what’s the word Devin? Forgot dinner?..
Bill, sounds like you’re in for a fun ride!
The trio version of the band plays a little gig in Falmouth at the Cape Saturday afternoon, and I’m otherwise trying not to flood my agenda with places to go. I think we’re gonna camp overnight at the Cape maybe, I dunno. Really focused on my home & family lately so for once it’s not that appealing to take off overnight this time around.
I imagine disc golf will play into my time off ~ although I’m a little bitter after my last few games. A rollercoaster of slump, then awesome, then slump again, with four lost drivers in the mix, a tic or two, and super-overgrown courses.
Each summer I seem to tell myself it’s time to put the bag away for a month or two and concentrate on other things. But I’m pretty sure I still go almost every week anyway.
Happy Friday everyone, and a good f***in’ mornin to ya’z … I love it when I’ve had one coffee, and I know the next one is still in store.
Actually got more than 3 hours sleep last night! A couple more nights like that and I might even start to feel kinda normal! ![]()
Rock on, Pa.
Mornin!
Loves to you all!
Phish is back? Wait, what?
Umm, game on for me in a few days!
Be well!!!
Well, the NBA is over and we’ve officially hit the “Dead Zone” of sports where it’s nothing by baseball until Fall. Not that baseball is bad but it’s nice to have more than one option. I usually spend the summer renting movies I’ve been meaning to see to fill the gaps…maybe I’ll hit the video store and grab a few tonight…
Also, I just realized that here in Michigan, Further is coming to town on the same night as Iron Maiden/Alice Cooper. I hate to say it but I’m leaning towards Maiden/Cooper. I’ve seen Lesh and the boys before and I’ve never seen Alice and obviously I love me some Maiden. Plus Further is at Meadowbrook and I hate that damn venue. Dilemma, Dilemma…
yeah, time to hibernate
nothing to be awake for
^^time for the opera.
just got back from PT and a massage. The massage therapist i had was a nice looking woman my age… she did a great job and i was pleased with her. Today i arrive for my massage and they tell me “oh so and so has been let go but here’s gary.” i’m like ooook. have never gotten a massage by a dude before… this ought to be interesting.
so i kept an open mind and he actually knows his shit and really targeted the trouble spots so turned out alright ![]()
and nothing beats an ice coffee on a hot day. baching!
