Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

It’s morning somewhere… and I missed this!

Dude… good work, man! What a nutty, nutty thing. Your child is an adult. It’s about to happen to me… in 2 months. This is craziness, man!!! What has happened here???

My wife and I were talking tonight about how he feels more like a roommate than our “kid” nowadays. Of course, like yours, he couldn’t grow a beard if his life depended on it.

Well, now it’s morning here in sunny SoCal and doojette and I are heading to… an exercise class!

The dooj is getting in shape folks, look out!

Happy Tuesday!

Hey, hope you all had a nice morning.

I’ve been out of my mind, struggling with how difficult people can be sometimes. Started with my boss, then a salesman, then my coworker’s story of someone else’s idiotic logic, then an irate customer’s style of being irate. But, looks like I might finally whip some plastic tonight. Haven’t thrown any disc golf in more than two weeks, and that’s actually a long time for me.

I’m having the new adult in the house cut the lawn, so I can go and do that!

Second coffee in process & a pizza on its way.

^kinda makes loving everyone and having patience with everyone a pain in the ass when people are pains in the aSS. RIGHT!?

gmokp. oops. late.

I like to make fun of folks who are pissy without them realizing I’m doing so. Plus it makes them more pissy. Even better if you agree with their pissy attitude and pretend to be more angry about it than they are and they start talking YOU down. That’s my favorite game with them. Yes, I’m an asshole. I tend to not relate to those who take life too seriously.

^get a job!

Now my forehead has grown over the past several years or more, but this guy must be known worldwide as having the hugest one. And yet, he’s a movie and television star. Hmmmmm. Something has to explain this. I wonder if women like huge foreheads on their men, … among other things.

Morning 'Pa. I think I like working one day and then having two days off. There’s been a snafu with my paperwork at HR and I can’t do anything until it’s resolved, so I did some chores yesterday, and have a few today to complete before meeting Jaime when he gets home from school.

Beautiful weather, best week of the summer for sure. And not a bad Hump Day. Have a good one.

Good morning ya’ll.

Played three different courses yesterday. Arm a bit tired towards the end.

Then finished Breaking Bad season. Bullshit I have to wait til next Summer. It is like STILL Summer.

^Yeah, when you catch up on these shows where you can just chose to watch them when you want, it’s kinda jarring when you have to wait.

Wait… it’s a whole year?? I thought it came back in fall or winter. :frowning:

Good Morning okp!

Bill, JVB’s head is gigantic. But I may have a cousin who has him beat. :shh: Enjoy your snafu-induced free time!

And now… to plan some meals before heading to the farmers market… rock on pa’sters

Sick’d

I think the proper term is a ‘five head’ instead of a ‘four head’…

carry on…

Morning Pa,

Was informed by the bossman yesterday that our group is now ‘Engineering Support’ for another consulting company here with the OH client.

What does this mean? Basically we’re their b!tch and are expected to help them through stuff they are not as ‘efficient’ at doing.

IMO, these guys were not qualified to take on the work that I’m now ‘supporting’ them in. They just put together an attractive, low-bid proposal for the work to get the contract and realized that they dunno what the H they are doing.

If my group was given the assignment we could have finished in half the time and NOT have to involve a whole other company to ‘support’ me.

blah blah blah.

Tomorrow is Friday and I might get to fly home earlier in the day. Let’s see if that is true or what.

People and their bullshit, right? I blame work. Usually someone’s working, and they’re pissed, or someone’s pissed at them. Let’s all quit & go on terr.

I have been stressed out since like July. Less about the work than the home though I guess, pretty challenging these shoes I’m in.

Nice out though, and my car is back & no longer on fire.

This Clutch music is phenomenal. Even that one bad album of theirs I have is growing on me a little.

Coffee’s a little too sweet, it’s “cinnamon roll” flavor :unamused:

Good morning to you fine OKP’ers. Phish writing yet you think?

Seems like under-bidding and then having to hire a 3rd party would result in a loss of money… no?

Morning, Pa!

Cinnamon roll coffee sounds pretty good, actually… Starbucks? Dunkin Donuts?

I’m off to strengthen my core with doojette… does that sound bad? It’s exercise, people! I’m getting in shape!

Work it Matt!!!

^^^^^ Five head…ha, ha, ha.

^^^^ Sounds ridiculous to me, Pei.

^^^ Hang in there, Kevin. It’s tough when it just keeps going and going and building and building. Eventually it has to change. I hope it’s all for the better.

^^ Way to get in shape. It really is a great thing…eventhough it sucks buttholes. I did Crossfit for about 9 months last year. It was just what I needed in my life. Had to stop because Jamie and I had no time or money. Planning on going back to it, but I don’t know when.

^ I am so slow…this appeared while I was typing. Richard Simmons is nutso.

Looks like rain here. Good thing. This place is always so hot and dry.

Wyatt is watching Bob the Builder and eating breakfast. Wesley had his bottle and is now wiggling like crazy here next to me. Mommy went to work. I am happy to be alive spending time with my little guys.

Still listening to Summer Tour. I’m somewhere near the end of June. I sure miss non kids music.

And good morning.

Hose,
As someone who (I think) is in much the same boat as you, all I do offer is that everyday is a new challenge. Some days are good and you kick ass and some days you get your ass kicked. For the past three weeks I feel like I’ve been kicking ass. But last night and today, I feel like I’m getting kicked.
Either way, not sure if it would help, but if you need to vent, or whatever, PM me, and I’ll listen and lend a hand when I can.

Oh, and GMOKP…

Hey PeiYi, Kev, Matt, Sean, Eli!, Chris.

It’s Friday, beautiful, cool and clear in this neck of the woods (hmmmmm, ‘neck of the woods’, interesting euphemism, wonder about its derivation). Have some car related chores I have to take care of today. Back tail lights on my car, but have to arrange for a new windshield on Marie’s car. Fricken bus in front of us on the GSP Sunday kicked a stone perfectly into the corner of the windshield. The crack spread within the first 24 hours to a point where it’s just too big to be repaired.

Marie’s work is stress filled these days as the new budget year is about to kick off for federal money to the state’s social service programs. But in early October she wants to get away for a week to forget about work, this past summer and things in general. Thinking about driving to the Thousand Islands area on the St Lawrence, and maybe a short jaunt into Montreal.

We also love the Finger Lakes area and are considering a stopover for some wine and grape pie, a delicacy that’s rarely found outside of some the more rural towns in the western part of NY state where concord grapes are an important crop.

Hope everyone has a great end to the week.

Good morning. Recovering from a shitty sinus infection I had for two days. Feel much better but I still got the crud in my lungs I’m coughing up now. Still, might be a good excuse to cut out a couple hours early this afternoon
