Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

Happy Friday all y’all. I’m in better spirits today, compared to how I’ve felt over the last couple weeks. I figure, my rehearsal last night & the disc golf round earlier in the week have been theraputic maybe. Work load finally seems normal after vacation. Got my first teacher complaint that a kid’s not doing homework, so that’s another sign that things are pretty normal.

The Pumpkin coffee this time … it’s the Keurig machine, Dunkin Donuts brand Cinnamon Roll yesterday, Pumpkin today. I brewed my own whole bean grind at home first, I really prefer that. But you work with what you got at work; workin’ it.

I’m still listening to Clutch, I seriously seldom get this stoked about a band, and when it’s a new band or current one it’s even more fun. In fact, forget the rest of this post; it’s all about Clutch.

I don’t like flavored coffee, but there are a few blends of pumpkin-flavored coffee that I enjoy for a couple of weeks in the fall when they’re around. But I don’t like buying them for home because the oils they use to flavor coffee gets all over the grinder, coffee maker, and carafe so your coffee has a hint of flavor for a while and that bugs me. True story.

Lol. Yeah, I’m the exact same way. Don’t like the flavoring stuff getting all over my coffee making equipment. 'Course, these days the way I make coffee is with a small 1-cup size pour-over cone, just a Melitta cone that you put a #2 filter into and then the coffee in that and pour the hot (not boiling!) water over it and presto, coffee. Makes really great coffee. In fact, I’m completely spoiled by it. Anyway, about the flavored stuff. I will buy a mocha, or even a vanilla latte, but that’s maybe once a month. Other than professionally made espresso, I don’t ever have any flavors in my coffee. And I refuse to buy an espresso machine for the house. Just over the top for me.

Of course, some of you probably still think I’m a heretic because I like my coffee with cream. Black coffee is just fucking gross unless it’s some holy grail shit, like Blue Mountain. Mmmm, Blue Mountain, now that’s coffee! Still, at $75/pound or so, I really can’t be doing that too often.

Didn’t want to be up this early on a Saturday, but the Show Of Life lyrics annoyed me awake. Had to pee around 5 which is the time I normally wake up and for some reason the music and lyric, 'find ourselves right here, in the show of life" was in my head as soon as I got up and I couldn’t stop it. Even now, while I’m clearly redirected in writing this, it’s trying to sneak into my head whenever I pause for a new thought.

Help!

To cure your ailment, I prescribe the following. Make sure you take the full prescription, even if you start to feel better before it’s gone:

Great morning OKP.

Ingenuity Fest this weekend here in the CLE. Went last night, and will be again tonight to see a friend from college who graduated and jumped into the world of stand up comedy. Fun times.

Will plan on taking some pictures of this wild art thing-a-ma-jig as I forgot my camera last night.

Morning dudes. I slept thru my kid’s soccer game this morning, but I worked two shifts yesterday and got home at 1, so I feel like, you know what, so what. I go to them usually.

I have no real agenda today, and I’m pretty disoriented about that. I have an album that’s nearly finished that I should finalize and actually like, order. Some mowing to do … plenty of cleaning … looks like a textbook boringish day. Might take my youngest disc golfing later. Am I the only one who feels weird when there is no agenda?

Coffees are good. Still badgering my ears with Clutch.

LOL @ Show of Life plea for help!

Coffee is excellent today! Just really really tasty.

I like the no agenda on Saturdays. Sunday too, for that matter. I had tentative plans for this afternoon, but am hoping now they won’t go through because I’m dead ass tired. Went to Albany last night for a going away thing for a friend moving back to the big easy. Yawned the whole drive home and felt wide awake when I got home at 2am and ended up staying up, smoking a great deal, for a few hours. Then I crashed into oblivion until the bladder got me up. Have one of those lack of sleep headaches so I’m enjoying the coffee in bed today.

I’ll get moving eventually. Maybe. Have a good one folks!

Didn’t take your recommendation yesterday Doug and it happened again this morning, only this time it was, ‘All my friends come backwards down the number line’. And now I’m up at 530 on a Sunday morning. Good grief.

Nope, i can’t think of anyone that likes to be bored.

Good morning, OKP.

Sorry to hear about all these sleeping problems. I’ve been sleeping great lately and had a wonderful weekend taboot.

We had the Utica Music and Arts festival going on this weekend, with several bars participating. Had so much fun with everyone and met a few new great people as well. Ran into our resident funk-man, Jason, but missed his show unfortunately. Saw many bands for the first time, some not so good and some amazing. That’s what festivals are all about.

Got to see Twiddle for the first time and was very impressed. I’ve been wanting to see them for a while, but wasn’t too psyched on traveling too far to see them. I will travel to see them from now on. If you have a chance, get out to see them.

That’s all. Have a Sunday fun day. Let’s go BUFFALO!

Good morning. Some fucking jack ass thought 7:00 in the morning on a Sunday would be a good time to have a hockey game. Got up at 5:45 after what was a poor night’s sleep and combine that with still getting over an illness I am now in rough shape after the game. Oh and we lost 14-4  happy fucking sunday

Good morning! 7am is not a good time for anything but drinking coffee. Sorry your team lost Doug.

Apartment was 80+ deg inside last night :wtf: Didn’t sleep much and had crazy dreams when I did drift off here and there. So tired, trying to get motivated for our exercise class in an hour then off to help Dooj’s momma set up dinner for Rosh hashanah.

Shana Tova y’all

Morning dudes. I don’t know what to tell ya, it’s noonish, I’m just getting going, and I’m grouchy. Curses!!

Today’s shaping up better than I thought, working it out.

In the office and totally changed my plan around for how to spend this weekend minishift I been doin’.

I’m listening to recent mixes of this EP and it’s finally gonna really f*ckin happen I think.

I’m pretty sure on my To.Do.List on my desk at home right now, I put the album very much next. Kind of giving myself permission to just make the space for that final bit of work.

Although, we’ll see how I feel after work shift > disc golf round … depending where we throw I could be tired and maybe a little drunk. I might just skip ahead to a less intense item on that list.

Good day sirs and madams!

Triple post - maybe three coffees are in order today. I’ll probably drink them in order too.

Fuck that, start with the last one first, then the first one, then drink the middle one last. Bunch of fucking amateurs :unamused:

Good morning.

Funk that!

Morning Pa!

Very tired at work.

Haven’t been in the office since last Wednesday.

Tired and sore.

MORNING!

Morning Pa peeps. Today was a rough morning for me as well. Just stepping out of the fog now. Did I mention anywhere the 25 year old balsamic vinegar I acquired? It is deeelish. Could just drink off a spoon and be happy, but imagine it drizzled over fresh garden tomatoes along with goat cheese and fresh Italian bread and you have my amazing lunch today. Wish I had it like this year round!

Happy Monday all. Have a great week!

Morning Pa.

Last client GOLF! today.

It’s like 55 degrees out and raining.

I did not bring pants, I will be cold.

Fall is here.

Have a great Tuesday y’all.
