Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

Hey all. Nice to be here.

Seems I’m working one day and then off for four. Nice schedule.

So I’m home today doing house chores like a ton of laundry after the gkids stayed over this past weekend. Raining like the blazes and just a good day to get some things done around the house, or not.

Rotten cable company used to let secondary TVs in the house allow their tuners to retrieve certain “antenna channels” off the wire without the need for a decoding box. Not as of today. Now if we want to watch TV in a bedroom, it means another 7 bucks a month, for each TV. And I could live without cable TV reception in a heartbeat, but Marie likes it. She’s not a computer user, so she derives more information from the TV when she needs it. Guess I need to find another 150 bucks a year in the budget.

Have a super Tuesday!

^Holy crap! We got rid of the cable service 2 years ago, so I didn’t realize they were charging per room! But, you really can create a very “TV” experience for Marie by hooking up an Apple TV instead of your cable box. Especially if you got her an iPad, because anything she watches on the iPad she can airplay to the Apple TV. And, with a Netflix subscription for $10/month, she can “channel surf” through all sorts of TV shows and movies. But, also… couldn’t you just splice the line from one room to get it into another?

Anyways… happy morning, pa! It’s been a warm week full of work and exercise… and it’s only Tuesday! Gonna take a little stroll to the beach with Doojette this mornin, then more work!

Do it, Pa! Kick some ass!

Good morning. Made the season’s first batch of chili last night, and very appropriate timing as today seems like it’s going to be our first real “fall” day, with temps getting no higher than the mid-60’s. Couldn’t be happier about that. So fucking sick of being hot all the damn time. Busy day today, hoping for a third cup of coffee but I doubt that’s going to happen. Oh well, have a goodun.

Morning!

Morning OKP! And now back to work!

^Morning Katie! Kick that work’s ass!

Morning, Pa!

Another beautiful day here in sunny Santa Monica. Did a little indo-row with doojette this morning… it was pretty interesting. This getting in shape stuff ain’t half bad!

Off to Virginia on Saturday to see a friend’s new baby, then on to South America for a month. Never a dull moment, people! Rock on!

‘Mornin’ Glenn …

It’s just barely morning here, and it’s really the end of my night. But I’m working on my album, and hoping to place the actual order tomorrow night, and be done with this eternal process … did your album get born yet? I haven’t thought about that in a little while.

^Nice Kevin. Like that design a lot. Good luck with it for sure.

Morning 'Pa. Off for another ride about an hour southwest, through the pine barrens and farmlands of central NJ. Although I won’t have to make this trip on a daily basis as soon as my PKI card is ready and I can use my laptop at home, I’m really enjoying the morning and afternoon drives over the country roads. I get to catch up on Phish while passing some really pretty scenery. Sets a great mood for me.

Wednesdays with Jaime turned out to be Wednesday with his sisters and his best bud. Because of parent/teacher night at their school, we took on the whole crew plus one. Jamie figured it was a good time to bring his friend Derrick over to show him what he does on Wednesdays. They also brought their scooters to sample the hills and curbs in the neighborhood. It was fun to watch Jaime get goofy with his friend, a side of him we don’t always get to see.

Have a great Thursdays o’ wise and wonderful OKP.

Good morning fellow OKPsters. I guess I’m in a band now, but I’m not holding my breath about it. The guy ‘organizing’ things has started a couple bands already and asked me to play and we’ve never gotten past the third practice then things just fall apart. But, I was living 80 miles away and going through a divorce the last couple of times so I was pretty unavailable. Maybe this time will be different. Until I do it again. (see what I did there?)

^^^Good luck K-Dawg!

^^Bill, you the man! Enjoy your long drives and Phish while it lasts!

^See what he did, was while making a normal post, he threw in some lyrics from a song by a popular drug band.

MORNING PA!

Morning you fuckers!!

I’m like, fuckin’, FUCK DUDE.

My dog, we found out, has cancer - Lymphoma, fucking, found out while vacationing in Disneyworld last month.

Well, last night, and the night before too, she was up dealing with pain, and today was significantly different. She refused her food and wouldn’t go outside (you know to pee & poop!), … so I had to leave work and come home to try again. Was successful. Got her to chill outside and went back to work. Wife (whose dog it really is) got home from work mid afternoon and took her to the Animal ER. I met her there w/the kids after my shift and we all - with the vet peoples, who were amazing - decided to NOT euthenize her, but with the knowledge that it would probably by Friday or Monday that we’d have to actually do it. We returned home, and our dog struggled her way inside and crashed out on the kitchen floor, exhausted and struggling. We tried to feed her a Baconator, she wasn’t having it.

My oldest son & I went shopping, had a couple gift cards to burn.

We came back home, and he and I and his mom kinda convened around our dog to find she was no longer alive, and that was fuckin that dudes. She lived a cool life, and there’s a lot to be grateful about.

In other news the shopping trip was disappointing, and you know what? It’s not even really morning for me yet, cuz I haven’t gone to bed.

But I’ll tell you this: I know that cancer can fucking fuck itself squarely in the fuck.

Dude, so sorry to hear about your dog.

At least she has lived a good, full live with kind folks who love her.

Hope you feel better soon.

Oh geez…that story on the dog is heartbreaking. Nothing worse than when you see your animal just not being itself even though you can see it trying to do the normal routine and such. Even worse, when you see an animal so down, you know they’re REALLY hurting since animals have such a higher threshold for pain than us. Hope your dog can hang in there.

Aw man, Kevin… I’ve been there and it sucks. Hang in there, man… you have lots of good memories to enjoy now!

Welp, today I celebrate 14 years of partnership and 9 years of marriage with the most wonderful woman I have ever met. You may know her as doojette… and I love her, folks!

In fact… I love her so much I’m sitting outside the sprint store right now trying to score her an iPhone 5. Only one more hour to go!

Morning…and a long morning it’s been. Up since 4. It’s hard to read this morning as the letters seem to be moving around or something. Sleep hasn’t been my friend lately. She’s a fickle ol’ bitch.

Hope you are all doing well.
Sorry about your dog, Kevin :frowning:
Fone, I hope you daughter is doing well post surgery. Now that I’m bound to the office doing a fuck ton of billing each day, I don’t have time to peruse like I used to.

Things are going well for us. I’m just now starting to feel tired and my hip and pelvis bones are starting to ache slightly. I’ve managed to keep my weight gain under 20 lbs so far, so I’m sure it’s helped that I haven’t put on 40+ pounds like I did with my daughter. Except for the nausea in the first few months, everything has been pretty chill and awesome. Holt is beyond excited. It’s really cute to hear him beg her to come out so he can play with her already. D-day is rapidly approaching. The c-section has been scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Halloween morning. Apparently, I’m one of those women who would have died in childbirth back in the day, so we just went ahead and nixed the middle man. Sometimes I freak out a little thinking about becoming a mom again and other times I can’t freaking wait. T minus 41 days…HOLY SHIT.

Have a good’un, Pa!
PEAS

SOOO sorry to hear, Kevin. I can’t imagine how bad it will be in my house when that day comes.

Congrats Matt.

I’m glad she died at her home with her family.

Damn Kevin. Put my condolences in with everyone else’s. Hate to hear that, man.

Good… afternoon, Pa. I never get around to getting on the interwebz in the morning these days. Too damn nice out lately, for one thing.

That is the best way to go, Kevin. Fuck the needle.

My condolences to you and yours.

… and ugh, don’t actually fuck the needle. Yowza!

Good morning. Weekend kinda…lots of stuff to do which is making it feel very unweekendish but I guess I gotta be a big boy once and a while and take care of shit.
