Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

Good morning, OKP. Having my coffee and then on to a bit of cleaning. Well, a lot of cleaning actually. Would like to go for a bike ride after that, but it kind of looks like the rain will be here then. Hopefully it won’t last long and I can head out after.

Have a good one, OKP.

Sorry to hear about your dog Kevin!

Just watching Ohio State get pounded by UAB…

I have been so tired lately.

This is my fifth day in a row of 12+ hours work (just about to hit 12 hours in 27 minutes and still have at least 2 hours to go).

I am hoping to have somewhat of a day off tomorrow (not coming in, just answering the business line on me cell phone).

So this isn’t morning? You could have fooled me.

/bitching

Loads of great games on right now. UM/ND, Arkansas/Rutgers, Clemson/FSU, LSU/Auburn, K-State/Oklahoma. TOO MUCH SPORTS!

^I was flipping through them yesterday, but didn’t watch any for too long.

Worked a few hours this morning, then went for a lovely fall mid-morning bike ride. Ohhhhhh 'twas nice I tell ya!

Buffalo game on this afternoon. Having some brews and foods.

Let’s enjoy our day off, ya? Monday’s going to be lame.

Hey Big D. It was a beautiful Autumn day in NJ yesterday as well. Only instead of going for a bike ride I attempted to thatch 12000 square feet of lawn. Thatching is an ugly job. Spent most of the day out there and only managed to get less than half of it completed, and that means I have another day of ugliness to look forward to.

Plus the achilles tendon on my left foot isn’t feeling the love this morning and I’m a bit achy in a bunch of different lesser used muscles, so this morning isn’t exactly a ball of fun for me yet. But it’s off to work I go in a little while, and I’m looking forward to that. Not going to be a full day, and I get to ride through the countryside once more listening to Phish. And that beats thatching any day.

Have a great start to the week.

Morning, Bill.

Thatching is no fun, but that drive sounds like a blast!

Sometimes I can get on board with Monday’s. Today is not one of them.

Morning fellas!

Monday can bite me.

I am so not into work today, but I have a few pressing issues pending and that will keep my mind busy for a while.

Not a great weekend in Detroit sports, rather lousy to be honest.

Props to Homeland going big at the Emmys, I love that show! Starts back up this week!

That’s all for now.

Lates

Morning!

I’m actually glad to get back to work, was unwell Friday and couldn’t, and then I had a refreshing recharging regalvanizing resplendant rigoroneous rhinoceros of a weekend.

Played the most amazingly cool wedding this weekend up in Maine, in Newry - Sunday River resorts, I guess it is … amazing place, for reals, … amazing couple, VERY appreciative guests, and the band just had the perfect time. I mean, we still fucked up a bunch  but it was as good as it goes basically. Gotta love a great crowd, poolside too (heated outdoor pool … I’m tellin you). Lobstah dinnah. Epic breakfast the following morning.

Then I convinced the drummer to disc golf, and got to play Pleasant Hill in Scarborough ME, which was very much bitchin. Par says 70 on their scorecard, but it’s totally hilarious to me. My “home” course is officially par 56 - and my average this year to date is 63. I threw a 55 at Pleasant Hill, and the drummer - who’s never played - threw an 85. This place is a par 54 soaking wet IMO.

Sorry about the thatchin and the Monday problems ya got there Brett & Dustin, … and thanks for your condolences on Amonke everyone, she was a good giant little monkey dog.

May all your base are belong to us!

Thank God my wife brewed coffee this morning, cuz all the cream in the office fridge is bad … I’ll get a second cup sooner or later. Later!

wtf? that weekend flew by…lame

Relaxed Saturday and worked Sunday… it was a busy day. Working in the hospital can be crazy, controlled chaos… as any nurse knows someones life can be right in your hands… don’t mess up! sheesh makes me miss the days of working in a bookstore sometimes…

enjoy your day…

good morning

just layin in bed here with my new pooch buddy surfin the webz after raging my face off yesterday all damn day…

setlling into my room at a new place here the last week or so, livin with friends in hellgate canyon east of missoula in a pretty ridiculous house way up on our own hill. gnarly mile long up hill driveway that the camry is not going to agree with this winter…there’s serious and real danger of sliding off the road in icey conditions and tumbling down STEEP 300 ft hillsides in yer car   probably going to live up here for the fall and winter at least, and see how it goes. really affordable living for sure even with the 25 mile commute. I don’t work in town more than a few days a week anyway :sunglasses: . its not my own place but at least I still get to live out in the country in a nice house with internet and directv. there’s serious double black diamond ski possibilities right out our door too if we get enough snow. we’re looking into getting a used snowmobile and trying to do a lot of backcountry shit this year.

i’m gonna be this guy

Good afternoon, OKP.

I think that I speak for the rest of us when I say that, between imagining Hank living it up rocking them skiis constantly, and imagining him tumble 300 feet down a cliff to his doom in a Camry, we were all just kinda mystified and hypnotized beyond our ability to post in here this mornin.

^yea apparently.

another good mornin to okp. scoped out a nice mule deer buck that hangs in our yard this morning…reckon I might look into gettin a license and a freezer. been a few years since I’ve shot a deer and I want jerky.

The Funster has become a real Mountain Manster. Hank

And here’s one for Hump Day and for Brett…

Making plans for a little getaway with Marie the week of the 8th. Didn’t get to go anywhere this summer because of all the family stuff going on, and really don’t have the funds for a real vacation so we’re driving up to the Thousand Islands region of NY mostly for the colours, and to be able to come back down through NY wine country.

I don’t really need a vacation with the daily schedule I have, but Marie’s work has been tough lately and she needs to step back from it all and just relax. Looking forward to some long walks in the woods to embrace the changing seasons and to reconnect with each other.

Have a great Hump Day!

Dudes good mornin.

Sunny out, looks like a good day … got lots of driving to do today, so it’s a good thing I got my car back. This sucker’s got 223K miles on it, so you never know what you’re getting into when it goes into the shop.

Yom Kippur today, just read a bit about that. Day of atonement.

I got nothin else, must be doin alright!

Heck of a heart ya got there fone …

Good morning folks and folkettes. Um…Wednesday…almost October…life is going by faster and faster…Jane, stop this crazy thing!!!

LATER

His wife

Morning, Pa!

Sounds like it’ll be a great little trip, Bill-- Heather and I just returned from a lovely few days in Virginia where we were visiting some great friends and meeting their new, rather adorable baby. We were treated to a couple of delicious, home-cooked farmer’s market meals and a performance of Cymbeline at the Shakespeare theatre in Staunton, which was awesome-- I had never seen Cymbeline before.

Enjoying my one day home before heading out to Chile tomorrow… not sure I’m ready for another month on the road but, hey… if that’s what life has in store for the moment, then I will put said nose to said grindstone and conquer said task!

But, now… it’s time for a little breakfast and indo-row with the lovely wife. Hopefully I can keep up this staying fit stuff while I’m on the road!

Peace, Pa!
