Double dibble here.
work, performance review today… Oh boy!
chilly out, but yeah I love the weather!
Be well!
Morning, there.
The weather outside is phenomenal. Little overcast, but feels great and the leaves are starting to fall.
Looking forward to a relaxing week after going balls to the wall the past couple of weeks. Been doing alot of interior house painting, put together Makenzie’s birthday party, and the baby hasn’t been sleeping very well lately. Still have the kitchen and possibly the laundry room to finish the downstairs, plus the stairway and most of the upstairs, but at least I’m knocking some of it out. I keep telling myself if I just finish it, I’ll be done and can relax.
Kinda feel like I’m on autopilot lately, but I manage to trudge on each day. I gotta say, Hampton is looking better every day. 3 days where I won’t have to be a wife or a mother AND I get to see Phish sounds like pure HEAVEN! Mama needs a feckin break ![]()
Hope you all have a great week!

Morning! Having a busy day over here. Drove to Boston and back this morning, for not much more than the scenery. Traffic clusterfucks every ten miles made me miss my seminar, so back to the office to attempt to keep up with the crazy amounts of work they got me doin.
I love typing after a lot of texting. It’s like going from playing piano with just your index finger to actually using all ten. And my PC doesn’t constantly jump to conclusions about spellin’ an’ grammar an’ shit, an’ I can do shit like this on purpose.

Is it about a GEICO commercial, Morpheus? ![]()
Morning 'Pa. Absolutely great early Autumn weather this week in NJ. Low 70s during the day for getting things done, and 40s at night for restful sleeping. Also a full Harvest moon tonight with clear beautiful skies. One of the top ten weeks of the year for sure.
Actually Marie and I typically, like most old folks, schedule our vacations in mid September. The weather is usually like this and with all of the kids back at school, the resort areas are less crowded and a little bit cheaper.
But we’re not going anywhere now because we’ve got Disney coming up in five weeks and we’re starting to get psyched as the reality draws closer. Can’t believe eight days is going to cost us 5K before we’re done, but I’m told that’s average for a total inside Disney cruise/park package, especially around Halloween. Too late to complain, it’s all paid for. Just a matter of doing it now.
But Marie really needs the time off. Her work has gotten very stressful because of budget cuts and a director who is a political appointee and doesn’t give a damn about too much. Sees the job as a payback and doesn’t seem to want to do much for his paycheck. Sad, especially for a social service office designed to assist the lower income elderly, disabled and veterans.
Lots to do. Have a great Hump Day!
That Morpheus is full of shit.

Good Morning Pa!!!
Go Hump Something!
^Phew! I almost had to change my plans for this evening. Lousy Morpheus ::shakes head::
Mornin!

Whoa… I am all smiles now, I get to “hump” tonight, yay!!!
Love it Brett, times have changed and we get to see these “hotties” in a thread for Wednesday “Good Mornings…” I love this place!

Anyway, Hampton in 29.5 days.
Spent 100’s of dollars at that damn Ikea last night, now I have to “build” shit, meh…
Be well all!

My weekend home
Morno!
Up early but it’s cool because the baby slept in her crib all night yahooo! Usually I have to put her in the bed with us somewhere between midnight and 3 a.m. or stay up with her indefinitely. Been working with her for a few days now and last night was a really good night. It’s almost 7 and she is still snoozing away in her crib. Wonder if we will get 2 in a row like this. It’s the small victories that mean the most at this point.
Cannot believe it’s Thursday already! This weekend I get to spend more money on Makenie for dance purposes. By the time this thing is said and done, this year of dance will easily cost as much as Fone’s vacation! She is getting her first pair of pointe shoes on Saturday, and it’s all she talks about. Those are the ones that ballerinas use to go up on their toes. Apparently it’s a big deal that her teacher said she was ready so soon. It’s been a huge undertaking, but I’ve never seen her happier which makes it all worthwhile.
Weekend starts tomorrow so go out with a bang!

Ollie - I hope you get two nights in a row, that can get taxing for sure!
Off to meetings in St. Paul today. Allergies are killing me this week, damn.
Be well!
Seem to be getting over this cough…I’ve had it for over three weeks now…the last remnants of a cold I had.
Even worse, it seemed like I was over it on Monday but then I choked on something I was drinking which led to a series of coughs which led to the last few days of coughing. Kinda annoying. I wouldn’t think that choking on something would extend a cough but it did. Kinda annoying. Been coughing so long my rib muscles are hurting which is like adding insult to injury. Oh well.
This week has FLOWN by for me. Keep it flowing!
^ Might I suggest stop smoking for a week, and see if that clears things up?
GMOKP.
Got up this morning for work only to find out I was scheduled for the evening shift. Soooo now I’m up. Will probably have a cup of joe and then move onto stacking some firewood. I’ve got a lot of wood to move and running out of time to do so.
Oh, and steve-o, I suggest continue smoking. You don’t want to throw your system off and end up with that nasty cold all over again.
Morning PA!
TGIF!! Thinking about heading into the city tonight for Evan Parker, a super-hardcore, circular-breathing saxophone extraordinaire! He’s a North Londoner so it’s rare (though still about once a year) to catch him live in the States.
Tomorrow is the Highlands Festival at Waterloo in NJ. It’s a celebration of NJ “home grown” culture and history. AND Marco Benevento, a NJ native, will be playing a set of music
I need my Marco fix.
The Scofield show last night was OK but not worth $30 (cheap seats). His new thing, based off the new album Uberjam Deux, is about Synth and Samples which I just am not a fan of, especially if there are enough musical instruments in the band to play said ‘samples.’
Sorry, I did not come out and pay $$ to hear you play pre-recorded music that the rest of the band can easily play live.
Have a great last workday of the week, people!
Well you still managed to set fire to a river. So that’s something.
I have toned it down a bit and have gone without for a few days here or there. Probably not the dedication needed though. It’s a pretty lazy cough…I’ll go hours without coughing and then have to show up for a random half-hour period.
Oh, and steve-o, I suggest continue smoking. You don’t want to throw your system off and end up with that nasty cold all over again.
Hmm…maybe that’s it. Those days I went without has ruined the blood cell balance in my body. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Ick, to me, this is just awkward when bands do this…especially when they have pre-recorded backup singing. You guys really couldn’t hire a few girls to bring along on tour? Just seems lazy to me.
G’morning OKP! Feeling okay today … lots on the desk though. Rocking the KISS solo albums on shuffle. Cuz nobody can hear it except me. Alone in the outer office today.
Last night I went out and shot a disc golf round way too late into the evening. My friend Tommy though, this guy will be there no matter what. Only thing he ever complains about is his playing. He brought a flashlight that enabled the last like, 45 minutes of game play. My two boys were with us, but they gracefully bowed out of their rounds after sundown and just hung with us while we finished the round. Tommy and I were tied after the front nine … then still tied after 17 holes … and then I had a lucky break and par’d 18, and he triple bogey’d. Dramatic. I don’t revel in it though, I’m really not playing against other people. Still feels good to do well though!
Gig tonight … more disc golf over the weekend … housework, kid’s soccer game, … you know life an’ shit.
Good day to you, ladies & gents. And to those that are perhaps neither.
^you mean like dogs or cows? If I see a cow today I’ll tell her you wished a good day.
Worked nights last night. Night hungover. I get night drunk around 5-6am and stuff starts coming out my mouth that I can’t control I seriously need to watch it or will get myself in trouble one of these days. NOt Cool!
And, you know, working nights is bad enough… like the 11-7 shift… but we do 7-7… so we’re packing in as much torture in one day as possible… then add the fact we have to swap shifts… like through the course of a month 50% may be nights… so you’re working nights and days all in one week. you know what I say to that? EAT SOME POOP PIE, BITCH!
The only saving grace is we do 3 shifts/week… so i find time to recover but it is SMACK yo.
/night shift rant
I almost wrote, “Good day to you, ladies & gents. And Hank”, cuz it’d have been funnier, but I don’t really even particularly feel that way about Hank. Then I thought, whose name goes here? Who on the OKP is not gentlemanly like, or ladylike as the case may be? Is it that Yem guy who won’t send the tapes?
I forget how nice a day job is. Haven’t worked the wacky shifts since like 1996. Not counting the gigs, cuz that’s definitely work lemme tell ya. But the nine-to-fiver’s not to be taken for granted.
^Cow says thanks and wishes you a pleasant weekend.
