Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

Just read this last sentence in the post, and for a second forgot what we were talkin about. I figured it was about cleaning out glass.

LOL. Naw, rubbing alcohol for that. Let it soak in it for a day. Stuff pours out like water.

You know when you start looking forward to the weekend too early?

Ug, yes…I need this weekend. Of course I’ve been looking forward to NEXT weekend since the start of this week. It’s March Madness, I have Thursday/Friday off and I hope to slowly become a part of my sofa as I watch endless basketball. It’s already been a precursor this week with the Championship games. Those three days I’m working next week will be tough.

Needed a Friday song…came up with this:

Good morning!!!

Anytime now I am going to do an online defensive driving course to knock down the price of a speeding ticket.

Until then…I’ll do anything but. Procrastination. What a thing. Getting started can be so difficult…in everything…in life…but you just keep pushing because you won’t be left behind. ::cue The Wheel by Jerry Garcia::

This is interesting:

Morning Eli, OKP. Drinking coffee and perusing the net. No plans for today beyond that. Going to read up on Fred Olsen.

Glad to have you back around Eli. I enjoy your contributions and I’m a fellow Kevin fan. “slept like a baby log” is comedy genius.

Long live the Pa!

^3 Just read an article that Noel and Liam have settled their longstanding feud. Maybe an Oasis tour soon?

Morning 'Pa. Have a houseful of guests at the moment and am going into work late until they leave for the day. Gives me some time to muck around the puter this morning, something I haven’t had much time for.

Ooops, here someone stirring already. Time to make some coffee.

Have a great week.

Again? Frankly, I’m not big on Oasis and the live recordings I’ve heard sound awful but I do like a few of their tunes.

And, wow, lots of great basketball this weekend. I truly didn’t leave the couch on Saturday…it’s getting me into shape for Thursday/Friday which I have off and will spend taking in 12 hours of basketball a day. Can’t wait.

Major bummer for my Spartans to be unable to put away Wisconsin on Sunday but it kinda felt like fool’s gold since we were hitting circus shots the entire game. Wish we could have gotten outside of a #7 seed and avoid a #1/#2 seed in the second round…that Virginia draw in the second round is brutal.

Debating to start a basketball thread but not sure there’d be the interest…ah well…

Morning.

Spent a grueling 12 hours yesterday in a high school auditorium at a dance competition, and now spending more ass time getting an alignment on my work vehicle. If I don’t get a DVT (blood clot) this week, I will be grateful.

Weather is greatly improving, and I’m so glad to see the beginnings of spring! Last week was 6 days of rain and the 2 weeks before were snow. Got sun this morning, although it hasn’t warmed up yet. Looking forward to getting outside with Piper after my work week is over. It’s prime picnic time

Have a great week all!

^Awesome! Cool you got the house Glenn, great news.

Hope you guys are all havin a good week …

Clutch just announced a Record Store Day release that trumps Phish for me no contest. And the only reason it’s no contest, is that I’d already decided against the Phish one anyway! But this is a first time vinyl release of a studio album, and it’s Clutch, I’m in a million percent.

Reading this book called Fire and Rain by David Browne. Pretty fun read so far, about that year in the life of four rock artists - CSNY, James Taylor, The Beatles, and Simon & Garfunkel. I haven’t read much in a while, feels good. Been listening to Yes a lot.

Sometimes it’s just easier to use this one thread to say a buncha sh!t that could go in other threads.

Well good morning OKP :ugeek:

Yeah, this weekend was really nice for that. The temperature is hitting 50ish, I’m wandering everywhere without a coat and almost all of the snow is gone from the yard. I just hope the sun drys up the grass so I can actually wander around out there and maybe let the cat out to go chase birds.

Now comes the boring busy part of packing up all my shit

That’s basically what keeps me from moving these days…all that crap to move. Ug.

Congrats on the house, Glenn. Sounds like an Albion dream!

GMOKP,

I just don’t know how to work today. I feel like I need someone to follow me around and tell me what to do. I feel like a hypocrite now for telling my students they weren’t using their time wisely, but here I am going on OKP and listening to Heart. At least there’s tea.

Have a good one everybody! I hope your weather is changing like ours is (getting warmer, snow melting).

I feel like a hypocrite now for telling my students they weren’t using their time wisely, but here I am going on OKP and listening to Heart.

You have a job. Most of them don’t. You can tell yourself you’ve earned it. Psychological manipulation via justification for the win!

Lots of B-Ball last night. Fun NIT games and that wild BYU/Ole Miss game…I think Ole Miss scored like 60 in the second half. They gave us two offense-first teams with shaky defense and it paid off. And, of course, BYU blows another tournament game…it’s always nice when you believe a coach will collapse every time he gets in the tourney and then he really does collapse every time he gets in.

Just have to get through today and I’m off Thursday and Friday for basketball Mecca!

Morning Pa!

Yesterday was St Patty’s! Went for lunch at a nearby Irish Pub, which to my delight had some live music in the form of a solo guitarist. Reminded me of our very own hosemasterflex there for a bit  I had some Shepard’s Pie which was delicious.

Although most of the country is in College BaasketBall mode, I’ve been watching the Indian Wells tennis tournament, a couple of towns over from Indio (Fest 8). My favorite player is still IN, so I’m in a good mood.

Speaking of Phish Festivals, I sure hope some oPhishal announcement with Fest 10 info comes our way sooner than later. It’s past mid-March and I sure would love some live Phish concerts to look forward to! Should be any day now…

Have a great one, OKP!

I actually might skip out on Phish this summer. Between all the work on the house I have been doing and Riley playing in so many travel baseball tournaments, Phish has taken a back seat in my world. First tournament is this Sat. HELLO SPRING!!!

Morning 'Pa.

Not entirely thrilled with the tour schedule. Always need a show within reasonable driving distance, and I think the Mann shows may be just a little beyond reasonable for me. Then again, I initially resisted Randall’s Island last year, but had a blast at one of them anyway. We shall see.

Had a wonderful visit with the Captain and the LTP this past weekend. Her brother is developmentally handicapped, and they have been providing support for him long distance as he is in an adult home on Long Island and they live in Richmond. The level of care that he can get in NY cannot be matched in Virginia, so they make trips up every couple of months to monitor his care.

He’ll be going to a nearby camp for the handicapped in June for the first time, and they came up to meet the staff and tour the facilities. In the meantime they stayed with us, and we had a St Patty’s Day celebration for a couple of days. Good times with good friends.

Marie, Roni and her girls are running in the Asbury Park 2.2 mile race this Sunday. They call it the Tutu Race and runners are encouraged to wear these slip on tutus that they handed out with their numbers. You’re supposed to decorate them in any way you like, so the family is having a tutu decorating party tomorrow night. I, on the other hand, would not be caught dead in a decorated tutu. I prefer them pure and unadorned.

Have a great Thursday y’all.

Morning Bill, Morning Pa,

Summer Tour has been oPhishally announced! Alright alright alright.

I foresee minimal productivity today at work. LOL.

Heard on the news we’re getting some more March snow … 2-4in is the forecast, for tomorrow PM. I really thought we were warm enough to just get rain now but, oh well.

Morning Pa!

I’m gonna have to seriously consider the Magnaball. I camped with Phish four summers in a row, and dangnabbit if I don’t miss it. And I could just plain miss out if I don’t.

Katiemay, I’m glad to be back around. Trying to keep it a regular thing.

That online defensive driving class I was doing on Saturday took all afternoon. The intro video said it would take at least 5 hours. You could not watch the videos and just answer the questions, but then you had to wait to move to the next section. There were 11 sections.

Two Texas Phish shows? I’m pretty excited about that. I’ve never done two shows in a row at two different venues. I’ll be like a real Phish phan.

Nice one Eli, great time to be back! Those TX shows are gonna be smokin’ hot, one way or another!

Good morning OKP. Things are brightening up here in terms of weather/climate so it feels like coming out of hibernation. Got the bike out last week to start riding to week and it has felt like casting off the chains of public transport oppression. Plus it’s good to get some exercise again…I usually play hockey in the winters but I haven’t gotten off my ass to find a team to play for since we moved. Getting my summer travels all planned out and looking forward to being able to take my foot off the gas at work a little bit for a few months. Has been a crazy year. Yeah. Coffee.

Happy Friday Pa!

Contrary to the apparent spring-like weather in MI, we are getting about 6 in of snow today here in NJ. But nothing’s gonna spoil a great week, complete with the long-awaited announcement for Summer Tour and the 10th Phish Festival.

I’m a bit shocked that Doug’s taking public transport in MI to get to work (or wherever) … but idk nothing about how safe / sketch public transport is over there so who am I to feel shocked, LOL.

Have a great weekend, OKP!
