Well good morning everyone! It’s been a while. The Pa wouldn’t let me log on for the last month but it turns out I just needed to reset my cookies which I just did, so that’s good.
Just got back from not one but 2 vacations. Amjam was great. It was especially cool because we went with another single mom and her daughter (that we met last year) and the kids had a blast playing together while we boogied. The line up wasn’t as impressive as last year but the feel of the festival cannot be matched, in my opinion. So laid back, such friendly folks, lotsa families, great all around vibe. I know people were fucked up but it wasn’t to the magnitude of the bigger festivals and it was nice not to notice it and most especially nice for my child not to see it. We were watching the girls play at the lake when Jeff Sipe strolls up with his wife and kid. They plopped down right behind me and I tried so hard not to listen to their convo, but I did a little. After about 45 minutes, Jeff’s wife says as casually as can be, “Hey Jeff, why is Cody (their son) running down the road?” (towards the stages). The little boy was probably 8 or 9 so he wasn’t a baby or anything, and sure enough he was running down the gravel road and had made it about 150 feet before Sipe took off sprinting after him. I couldn’t help but chuckle. What else? Oh, during The Lee Boys set some dude kept staring at me from back stage and even took a picture which kinda freaked me out. Turns out it was an ex of mine who is on the road with the lee boys so after the show he came and said hi and introduced me to them. Pretty nice guys and it seems my ex had filled them in on my greatness before hand because each one of them said “Oh THIS is the one”. It’s really weird to be introduced “This is my ex-girlfriend, Ollie” when you haven’t seen someone in like 4 years. Don’t do that, fellas. Especially after you just freaked her out a little by staring at her and taking pictures of her for an hour because you’ve gained weight and changed your facial hair so that it’s hard to recognize you…but I digress. Got to see one of my LOVES James McMurtry. GREAT singer, songwriter if you haven’t heard of him. He played 3 of my favorites which never happens to me so I was oh so happy. Oh, I was offered an internet radio gig by a friend/old intern boss, but I’ll tell you about that in another thread. It was a great weekend and I can’t wait for next year…hopefully I won’t have the drive, though
Oh and Disney World was alright. SOOOOOOO glad to be home and away from my parental units though.

weird day today
as soon as I’m done getting baked and surfing the net a bit, which is going to be in about 4 minutes, I have to hop on my bike to work, about 4 miles away.
I was there last night in my car, and then realized my tabs are expired as of June 1. I had one or two questionable things in my car that I knew about, and I had a bad feeling about it, so I just decided to ride my bike from work. (thankfully my bike was already in my car)
so after I get there, I have to drive to the fuckin’ DMV place and get new plates. Which they’ll charge me like 90 bucks for. fuckers.
at least I didn’t get drunk last night
