Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

Good morning … I’m absolutely stoked today.

Played a big gig last night and made some decent money. Going up to the city today, y’all.

Gonna go to FedEx/Kinko’s to pick up the short run of CD art I ordered … my CD will be in print!! I told those mofos that I only want 25 copies, although I’d initially ordered 100. They gave me a quote on 100 that I was totally okay with … until it sunk in. Then I realized my printer friend will probably run 2000 of them for me, for the price Kinko’s quoted me on 100.

I’m also stopping at the Newbury Comics next door … I was cool yesterday and walked away from the two record set of Metallica’s black album that I really really want. I decided I could sleep on it so as not to be hasty. But yeah, I’m buying that freakin’ thing today.

And I’m scheming to disc golf straight from there … today should rock. Today’s agenda is very rock.

Mornin’

Cripes, I didn’t get back home until 4 this morning, but I woke up a bit ago and wanted to check out the British Open for a little while. I am not joking, Greg Norman has always been my favorite golfer. Back when I used to like playing golf especially. And the British is always pretty sweet, with all of the severe wind conditions. There’s 9 holes left, so I don’t think I’ll make it through without going back to bed for a while.

I have to work today, but I really could care less. Sundays are easy, its my last real day of work until 10k, and WEEN completely blew my face off last night. The best I’ve ever seen them for sure. The most straight-up rocking WEEN show you could imagine, really. No breaks, no breather or slow songs really at all. I was blown away. I’m pretty sure there were 3 encores, and I saw “you fucked up” for the second show in a row during one of them. It ended with Deaner playing drums for a while, then kicking the drumset over, Nirvana-style. I’m still kind of taking it all in.

Wow.

Hank, why in god’s name is your screen name “DRAMA?”

Did you piss off yo baby’s mama again?

just thought it’d be appropriate for a while. I read Ladyphish mentioning it in another post, and I’ve been accused by a lot of my friends lately of being a bit of a drama queen about certain issues. And they’re right. I take things too seriously and get upset about things too easily. This is just about girl issues though. One girl in particular.

so its pretty much an inside joke which won’t make sense or be funny to anyone but me

Good morning youz guys & gals.

How was your weekend?

Mine was busy & splendid, rockin’ and rollin.

Got the ~VISIT~ artwork (the title looks like <that on the cover), which has been a long time coming.

Played side one of my new double-vinyl Metallica this morning … “Enter Sandman”, “Sad But True”, “Holier Than Thou” to close side 1.

Disc golfed last night at the nearby nine holes. Played lousy but had fun.

Fell asleep in front of a Star Wars movie again. Woke up around 6am, two of my kids asleep on the floor nearby. At least they had their pillows & blankets though; I was all planning to actually go to my real bed at some point. Which turned out to be 6am.

Good Morning! I’m still really jet lagged from Italy, but was finally able to sleep until 9 today! Usually its 7 or 8. I already got all my laundry done. Then I have to go to the bank and Trader Joes for some groceries. I’m hoping to be employed for the summer soon. Catering dies down for the summer, and obviously substitute teaching is over. But I’m supposed to be getting trained next week at a cool restaurant in the village to be a hostes, so we’ll see if that pans out. Enjoy your Monday!

I did nothing but watch movies, play video games, smoke down and watch baseball and golf all weekend. I like these golf majors that end at 2 in the afternoon. Good times.

Stevo

Nah, I prefer them to end at the normal 6:00pm time.

That way I can do all my normal shit during the day and relax right as they get to the back 9.

saw it saturday.
did you like it? i enjoyed it.

made me go buy 'fear and loathing on teh campaign trail ‘72’ for my brother to read before he votes in his first election this year.

Damn, I just ate 4 packets of Quakers instant oatmeal.

1 plain, 2 brown sugar and 1 cinnamon roll.

Excellent stuff.

Last night I saw Mark Knopfler in Central Park.
And I had the time of my life. The playing was so tight! Just as magical live as in the recordings.
Knopfler certainly is one of the best guitarists of all time.

cool, i assume he played sultans of swing?

yup! It was pretty sweet because he played some interlude into Romeo and Juliet (one of the most beautiful songs ever) then right into Sultans of Swing. I would have liked to hear Walk of Life, preferably as an opener or encore. But at least i got the “So far away” that I wanted. kick ass!

I’m so jealous! I love Dire Straits and Knopfler is a fucking bad ass! Glad you had a good time Marianne!

Good morning, ohkeepa. Ready for this week to be over. It’s been up and down and up and down and back up again. Now I guess I’m in the middle. Moving a week from today, destination unknown at this point. Not sure what’s going to happen next week, but at least I have a job interview in Asheville. If I get the job, it’ll be a 2 week notice to work and shacking up with my parents until I start the new job and spending weekends in Asheville trying to find a place to live. Schools start August 6 there, so I don’t have much time at ALL. If I don’t get the job, at least I have a house here to move into next week. Damn, I’m tired already.

That first Dire Straits album is the bees knees.

‘Water of Love’ is greatness!

Man, I’ve always wanted to see Knopfler but I never can find anyone to go, the bastards. At least I saw the TAB do Sultans of Swing…that was nice.

TGImuthafuckinF!

Wahooo! I’m goin to Ween tonight! and I have a job interview at noon!

This work sh@# is bull@#$%!!! Don’t do it!! Tell your potential future employer to stuff it, Marianne!! I don’t know if I spelled your name wrong!!

I just had two different clients get really pushy and demanding with me and I’m tired of that. Quit pushin on me.

::takes slow deep breath::

Good Morning Friends.

Don’t hassle me, man.
