I don’t really know what to say about this weekend. It was a big mish-mash shit-show, but overall it was good times and good people.
I know my buddy got super-lucky last night. Got pulled over and blew a 0.13 (0.08 is legal limit), but he passed all the other sobriety test and THEY LET HIM GO with only a reckless driving ticket. I can’t believe it.
^i’ve been let go twice with no tickets whatsoever due to passing sobriety tests. and i certainly wasn’t sober. i try not to press my luck so much anymore though.
Gooooood morning kiddies. What a dark rainy day it is. I really dread mornings now because I know what’s in store for me at 8. I do work with a couple of cool people which helps. They’re both 40ish and keep calling me a kid and a baby which I detest, but I’ll live.
Looking forward to Friday because it’s “Downtown After 5” this week with Laura Reed and Deep Pockets and Blue Mountain. It’s a FREE show on Lexington Avenue once a month from May-September featuring a great band. Last month was Jeff Sipe and Shannon Whitworth which I skipped cause I didn’t know. Pretty cool stuff: http://www.ashevilledowntown.org/. Apparently they have Jazz After 5 from Jan-April.

Well it’s freaking cold outside! Morning all. Not used to such cool weather in September, man. This is a trip. It’s weird not waking up to immense humidity and heat, but I like it. Work week’s half over w00t!

It’s a beautiful cool morning here in central J. Best time of the year for the weather, cool nights and warm sunny days.
Am working at my company office this morning, back at my good ole desk, and I was the first one in the building this morning. As I drove into the lot, there was a doe and two fawns feeding on some of the shrubs outside of the building. Would have invited them in for coffee, but I understand deer to be tea drinkers.

It’s a beautiful Friday on the shore, the morning ocean clouds against the sunrise were unbelievably colorful today, a portent of a great day for sure. Of course it doesn’t hurt being the end of the work week.
I think I’ll knock off a little early today, do a little shopping (time to get some socks and underwear), talk to some folks about installing a new humidifier in the house, and possibly lay some grass seed down on the lawn.
The weekend is supposed to be pretty nice, and we’ve got nothing planned except for one of the kids and her family coming over for dinner tomorrow night. She asked me this week if I could make chicken parm for her, like the way I used to make it for her and her sisters when they were still in the house, and I couldn’t say no. Although she has three little ones herself right now, she’s looking for a little nurturing from us, and I can’t blame her.
Thinking of buying another two Wii controllers before tomorrow, so four of us can play tennis tomorrow night when they’re over.

Little late for good morning, but I was running late earlier. Super tired today and generally in a bitchy mood. These don’t come too often but man is this one a doozy! I have the patience of a newborn right now lol. Hopefully this will be a nice relaxing weekend. Got Downtown After 5 tonight and taking the kiddo to the nature center tomorrow. Hopefully it is nice weather so we can have a picnic.

Hey, Good Morning all you sleepy heads.
Autumn arrives in about 90 minutes officially bringin an end to Summer. It’s starting to look so nice around central NJ as the trees start to mix their green with browns, reds and oranges.
Went apple picking yesterday with my honey, and we had a great time crisp-biting into those macs as we plucked them from the tree. Nothing like new macintosh at this time of year. They get kind of mealy and unexciting the more they sit around, but right off the tree with a little chill in the air is just something about Autumn that’s undeniable.

Feeling good today. I can be a moody bastid, but I shook off my lousy mood rather quickly and turned that frown upside-freakin-down.
I got me a copy of the Guitar Hero III version of Metallica’s new album Death Magnetic, and that’s a real relief. Somehow GH managed to get the album before it got destroyed by over-compression. A small victory for this fan.

Good thing too, because I have my last client golf outing today!
Gotta work my azz tomorrow, cause Thursday I have a meeting in Lansing in the morning, then it’s off to New York Citaaay with the girl for a wedding!!
Her friend is getting married in Bryant Park! Like a $300,000 wedding or some shit, kinda really excited!!

Summer just won’t go down without a fight. Fine by me, I’m not looking forward to running in 12 degree weather (well I sort of am, but not really).
My last golf outing is Sunday! A big scramble w/ a poker tournament following it. Should be lots of fun.

^^Very cool Brett. Bryant Park is one of my favorite places to hang in the city when we go there. There’s a terrace restaurant right behind the library on the east side of the park where Marie and I have drinks when we’re there. It’s real nice and you command a full view of the park and the cityscape that surrounds you.
Morning 'pa. Glad it’s Wednesday. Meeting a bunch of old co-workers for lunch at a chinese food buffet joint. We’ve gotten together a couple of times each year since our work togther ended about four years ago. It’ll be nice to see the old crew over egg rolls and won tons.
