Damn, wish I could make BB Kings tomorrow night. I’ll bet than show is going to be great. Am committed to taking three of the gkids Halloween costume hunting tomorrow night, and that’s usually a great show in another respect.
I’m VERY much thinking of randomly taking tomorrow off. Man, I need a day to sit around and do NOTHING.

Morning 'pa. Raining like a muthafuker in NJ today. Decided not to go into the fort and get my ass wet from the long walk through the parking lots. Am warm and cozy at my company office where the bagel club sells fresh bought bagels in the kitchen every Friday.
Have some extra hours to comp out for this pay period and if I don’t burn em today, I’ll lose them. So I’m outta here at 130 just to go home and hang out. I was going to do some yard work, but that darn old rain is going to stop me. Guess I’ll just have to hang out, listen to some tunes, see if the fonegrown is dry enough, and practice my wii tennis. Tough schedule, I know, but sacrifices must be made.
I’ve seen on the news about that weather system battering the eastern seaboard. Might mess up some MBL games. Shame, too, with pennant races heating up.

I’ve been sick as a dog the last couple of days, and it doesn’t look like it’s gonna ease up on me for the weekend. At least I have an excuse to not go to this birthday party tonight…I still don’t feel like I can face a lot of people after last weekend.

Morning dudes … here at the office I figure if the banks all close or if there’s a credit freeze, I’ll still have a job, since I’m not a banker - I’m a bookkeeper. Even if the economy collapses completely there’ll still be bean counters.

Our youngest gdaughter had a big asthmatic episode this weekend because of a flu and the family was all panicky because she had to go to the emergency room for treatment twice in three days. These itsy bitsy tiny little weeny teeny organisms can wreak such havoc on us big strong humans. Life is such an unbelievable miracle.
Between banks falling apart, Russian missles pointed at us from Venezuela, black holes being generated by cyclatrons, and now methane bubbling out of the sea to warm the atmosphere ten times faster than CO2, it’s almost impossible to stay positive and hopeful. But if going to disappear in the next few years as a species, all I know is that we better not miss enjoying a freaking minute of the time we have left.
I’m with you there Fone! Whether we all die in a cataclysmic event or whether we get killed by a truck, it’s a limited time offer. Love your neighbor and yourself, while you still can!
Good morning/early afternoon! Killing time on the ol’ lunchbreak.
Spent the weekend in Alabama with the fam which was alright. It was a literally a last minute trip so we didn’t even get there until almost midnight on Friday. Was less than pleased to find out my mom neglected to tell me they had 4 people staying at their house for the Auburn-Tennessee football game. She thought if she told me there were people staying with them that we wouldn’t come. Um, you bet your ass I wouldn’t have driven 5 hours after working 8 hours to sleep on an air matress in the garage. Yes, the garage! I mean, theirs is spotless and treated as another room of the house, but still.
Thinking of taking my daughter gem mining in Hendersonville this weekend. You can get 3.5 gallons of “gem dirt” for like 30 bucks. I figure we can both have fun with that for a couple of hours.
