Funny how a few weeks back on our way to Williamsburg we passed the coliseum and I thought how sad it was that I’d never gotten to see Phish at one of their favorite venues. Was supposed to go to the Fall 98 run of shows, but couldn’t get it together for a bunch of reasons.
Have a feeling this morning that my luck may change. Interesting feeling for sure.

today, is a day for rejoicing 
I’ve got a really important meeting at 10 this morning that I have to prep for, and all I want to do is think about how great March 6th in Hampton VA is going to be.
Can any of you get your mind around what it will be like the moment they walk out on stage that first night? Can you imagine? There is so much sadness and frustration that will be dissipated in that moment, that I hope the roof of that old arena is strong enough.

I watch videos of the return at MSG and it seems like the place was crackling and overflowing with energy and excitement.
I’m curious to know how many people got into Phish during their second hiatus and how many vets just have no interest in seeing them again.

gooooood morning! So how bout yesterday eh?! Man oh man. I may never calm down.
So my car’s doing crazy shit today. I cranked it to warm it before we got in it to wait for the bus. Came out like 5 minutes later and the lights were flashing like crazy and it’s making this noise like a hyper active blinker. It doesn’t stop when I turn off the car or restart it. It’s still doing it now. I hope the battery lasts to get me to work. Any suggestions??
^If you own a car, it’s always good to have a pair of jumper cables on standby for when batteries start to go. Also, if your car is over 5 years old, it’s also worth paying the 80 bucks a year for AAA, and let them jump your car. They can even sell you a new battery when they come to jump you. Just had to get a new battery about a month ago because everything electric was flashing as I was driving to work one morning.
It was a great day yesterday. Even on my ride home, the Phish reunion came streaming in through the local college FM station I listen to intermittently. Why after coming out of my dry cleaners I decided to tune it in to catch the end of one of Mike’s new songs lead into Alive Again by Trey and then the Connection from Undermind. The DJ was celebrating the Phish reunion and the scheduled Hampton shows.
On top of that, I received two calls last night from some Phish friends from the Phunky Bitch website that I used to frequent quite a bit, calling to make sure I had heard about the reunion. It’s so really unbelievable how rejuvenating this announcement has been for so many people.

Morning pholks! Just tried to submit another order to the lottery with the parentals CC, but the limey bastards don’t take Discover, d’oh…so I’ll get a visa HA. Car had to be taken somewhere yesterday to be exorcised. They dis/reconnected the battery and it stopped. Of course it started right back this morning when I again cranked it to warm it, so I have to be late AGAIN to take it. FUN. Morning all. Real chilly in NJ this morning, but sunny and bright. Love this time of year, good for sleeping, good for being outside, good for having your favorite band reform and schedule three shows in Virginia.
Am taking off from work today to get some other work done. Have a doctors appointment at nine and am fasting to have blood drawn as part of my annual physical. Know he’s going to want me to make an appointment for a colonoscopy, haven’t needed one in ten years, but last year he said I could hold off on it one more year. Ugh.
After that I have to buy a new humidifier for the heating system, have a cookout at my company’s office parking lot at noon, and then come home and re-seed the lawn. Tonight it’s off to the mall with Marie and Livy to pick out Livy’s Halloween costume. She wants to be a Goth ballerina. Her mom wants to come along, but we’ve asked her not to so the experience can be fun for Livy and us.
Last week we took Roni and her girls Halloween costume hunting and our daughter gave her eight year old daughter so much grief about her choice of costume. Roni wanted Kelsey to be a princess again like she’s been every Halloween for eight years for cripes sake. She chose a monster bride costume that looked good on her, and we encouraged it as her mom stood off to the side giving attitude. Parents, they’re such control freaks.

God…I still can’t shake this cold. How long ago was that?..scrolls up…fucking hell, it’s been over a week now. I guess this weekend will be a wash as well…oh well, I guess I need to be saving money anyway. I’ll probably be sitting on my ass playing video games and listening to phish all weekend…man, I’m such a winner.

Morning all. Start of another work/school week for most of us. Hope you’re starting it with a good attitude. My sorry ass old body is sore this morning because I was hauling topsoil and top dressing the lawn all weekend, doing a lot of raking in the process.
But physical labor is somehow rewarding to me, makes me feel sore but good about being sore. Wierdness.
Well, I’ve got a staff meeting in fifteen minutes to get ready for, but I’ll be back later for some tomfoolery. Geez, I miss the real Thomfoolery.
