Good Morning Oh Kee Pa (Part 1)

jeez what a morning!

So yesterday morning i had no job. Then by last night without even trying i had two jobs. I was supposed to start training at the catering company my cousin works for this morning and then go back to my old job with the pizza place later tonight.

So this morning i go in and talk to catering company and they ask me what my schedule is. I say “well i have a night job with a pizza place for savings money.” And the guy says “Ok, well we might be able to work something out but it would be best if you could be here as much as possible. So i’ll call you back in two days when i work something out.” Which usually means i didn’t get the job anyways. So fuck it, i thought. I’ll just work full time at the pizza place. It pays better anyway. But then the pizza place called me and said “Oh yeah, the other manager already had a new driver lined up. Sorry.” Which is the second time that’s happened since i’ve been home. Bunch of fucking slackers over there. Its whats great and terrible about working there all at once.

So for the past hour i’ve had no job again. So i called back the catering company and told him the pizza place is fucking whack so he’s gonna try and hook me up with a full time catering job. But now i start training tomorrow night:

Wednesday morning- 3 A.M.

graveyard. insomnia. pending insanity. stress. lower pay. garfunkel.

^Whoa, well hey man good luck no matter what happens, you can do it!

Good morning folks!

I had a good weekend. A moody and miserable Friday led to a low-energy, mistakes-ridden gig Friday night and a similarly miserable Saturday morning.

However - the five of us went to Six Flags New England on Saturday afternoon (someone gave us four free passes, so I only had to buy one! Juan!) … and had a blast. We had the kind of time you wanna galvanize and preserve in your memory forever.

Sunday my oldest son and I went up to The Pyramids disc golf course (www.marshallstreetdiscgolf.com) to redeem ourselves after our previous game there. We each scored even worse though, and he lost his mp3 player on the course somewhere … we discovered that during a second round of play and abandoned the game after hole 8. I was scratched by the course owner’s dog, which I guess was suspicious of me somehow. Kind of a tough day on the course, but then again it’s disc golfing!

During the previous visit I bought a disc with the Phish logo on it that happens to fly incredibly well. I almost want another one for when this one dies or gets lost. Christmas wish list.

Anyway, happy Monday to all you folks … remember, Phish is back even if you don’t get to be in the room with 'em. That is a good thing!

^a Phish disc golf disc?

now that’s HETTY!

Totally!

^mine’s a little different, in that its logo is more of a silvery/rainbowy logo, rather than the gold pictured. I should snap a photo and post it. With me in the photo looking wicked ultra super cool. And being cool too, not just looking like it.

Morning all. Autumn has definitely arrived in NJ. Trees are sparking like match flames and there’s frost on my car every morning. Had the furnace serviced last week, and heat comes up in the morning just before I start moving around the house for my morning routine.

Great time of the year. Really love working out in the yard in the Fall. Love the chill, the clarity and cleanliness of the air. Love coming back into a warm house at the end of the day, for a hot cup of tea, or warm bowl of soup. Nothing like certain combinations of cold and hot on the body. Tension and release, just like Phish music.

Good Morning all…Agreed fon this time of the year is absolutely beautiful. It’s a chilly 40 degrees or so here in Indianapolis. Well I’m off to a second interview for a job that could prove worthwhile. We’ll see. Wish me luck!!!

^great description of fall here in NJ fone

morning people of the pa

Good luck.

Just don’t get discouraged. Job hunting is a numbers game. You may have to send a lot of resumes and do a lot of interviews, but the more chances you give yourself, the more assured you are of finding a decent job.

And you get better with each interview because the experience becomes familiar and you relax with it. Relaxing with it demonstrates confidence and straighforwardness. These are traits that sell people some times over qualifications. Employers will forgive not meeting some of the requisites if you sell them on yourself. Relaxing in an interview is the first step to that.

33 last night in Minneapolis, real chill in the air now. Brought the RV in to get winterized before we hit and stay below 32… Man it is going to get to 60 maybe again this weekend, so heres my thoughts in the upper Midwest…

Get out and enjoy!!!

Happy Tuesday, still need tickets!!!

Good Morning there folks!

Chilly as well in the D!

fecking 38 degrees this morning!

Pulled out the ole’ winter jacket for the first time this season.

I’m kinda ready now for Halloween, Turkey Day and the rest of the Holidays to slowly start making their arrival.

JUST NO CHRISTMAS SONGS YET!!! PLEASE!!!

You have a good’n now, y’hear?

Good Morning OhKeePa! Had a great time the past few days. It’s sunny and 68 here in Vegas this morning with an afternoon high of 85. Gotta love the desert!

Good Morning OKP!

Had a decent night, nothing to complain about certainly, and thank God! Today’s shaping up to be an ordinary Fall day, and there’s a coffee in store. And paperwork, there’s always that. Maybe tonight I’ll finally get enough accomplished that I’ll feel the weight of the guilt of non-accomplishment lifted. Here’s hopin’.

Ach, I’m really tired this morning. Yesterday was a long day for me, had to work the store last night and it was rough. They have inventory tomorrow, and everything in the box has to be marked up, so I was rushing around trying to that on top of my regular work load. It’s only 8 in the morning and I feel like I’m already nodding off at my desk.

Have some things in my head that I feel like writing about to the OKP, but I don’t think I can get to them today. Have a meeting at nine that will probably last most of the morning and telecon this afternoon to prepare for after that. I enjoy being busy because it keeps the mind stimulated for sure, but I also sure do like thinking about Phish and prattling that out to all of you as well.

Have yourselves a great day, especially if you decide to have a day at all.

'Morning, everybody in OKP Land.

Listening to lots of Phish these days. And loud.

The other day I cranked up some show I’d never listened to, and hearing it loud like that really gets you to pay attention more … I realized I was often passively listening to Phish shows, and that seems to burn me out on the band more.

Some AUD recording quietly playing Possum or Suzy in the background? … Maybe it’s on a crappy stereo, maybe there’s lots of people in the room? … not fun. I’d rather hear something else under those circumstances.

But alone in a car, with the EQ set right on the same Possum or Suzy, and the volume up enough to hear it ALL - all four instruments, now that’s a whole different story ain’t it.

Crank it up today dudes!

:sunglasses:

Morning kiddos. Still pissed about last week and Saturday. Hope you’re all doing well.

morning all.

this has got to be the first time i ever got OFF work before 10AM
