maybe I’m being overly analytical, but if I’m reading things right, then Phish (or someone at live nation) developed a pretty ingenious way to get tickets to fans instead of scalpers.
I have been logging in recently to live nation and trying to order my Alpine Valley tix, just for shits and giggles. Of course they’re unavailable, but then I noticed two things that actually give me a lot of hope.

Now, I know some level of scalpage will still occur, but this really cuts off those thousands of irritating scalper sites and 25 day ebay auctions.
