Benecio Del Torro as Pigpen.
bill murray as billy?
i cant wait to see this movie though
^HAHA!! That’s perfect!
Michael Cera as young Bobby.
And that guy who plays Sylar as Mickey Hart…he’s got the eyebrows anyway.
I read the Parrish book a number of years ago… very good stuff in there.
The one story that blew my mind was when they were very high driving the trucks to a different city, and the one with Parrish (I think?) flipped off the highway into a ditch during a snowstorm at night.

(all images shamelessly stolen from “Grateful Blue”)
holy crap, Bill Murray really does look like Kreutzman
^yea thats why i said that, he would be perfect
i’ll be honest. I’m not sure how to feel about this.
Johnny Cash was awesome but the movie about him sucked. The movie about Ray Charles was a little cheesy at times and the TV movies about the Beach Boys and the Temptations sucked too.
anyway, i hope this comes out awesome.
same goes for the Electric Kool Aid movie. And furthurmore, don’t they shoot like 30 hours of movie footage in that book? How about we just release that with the score provided by early Dead shows.
now THAT would be box office gold, no?

If they made a movie about Phish, who would play the band?
This is a serious question.

Charles Norris

as
The Bad Lieutenant

no brainer
and perhaps
michael imperioli

as
Mr. Gordon

Yeah but that movie was completely inaccurate in the historical sense. Complete rubbish. But then again, this could be too.
i think it may be ok, bobby is involved with it, and he is pretty into details, so im sure he will try and make it as realistic as possible
but who knows
I wouldn’t have super high expectations, but the list of potential directors makes me optimistic. I thought the Oliver Stone Doors flick was pretty good. If this falls within the spectrum “Ray” as worst and “The Doors” as best, I think I will be satisfied. I know I was sure “Fear and Loathing” would suck even though I love Terry Gilliam, but I was really surprised when it turned out awesome.
The Acid Test/Intrepid Traveller films are readily available and I think they suffer from the fact that everyone operating the cameras and recording equipment during shooting were blasted out of their minds on LSD.
Oliver Stone fills his movies with “lies”, especially The Doors.
I hope they get Larry Charles to do it. He has yet to make a single thing that has disappointed me.
i thought fear and loathing came out amazing
i dug ray, and i agree with will on the lies in the doors movie, but i did like it
Larry Charles would be awesome. I can imagine him putting together some hysterical trip scenarios.
Lindsey Lohan!
