Greg is trippin, seriously

By the way, there are ‘sheep type folks out there’ but for the most part I guess I am in the crowd of having a job, family and doing what I want when I want… That means catching some show across the land and enjoying myself…

I do not worry about too many others and their goals or plans, if they are respectful to me and my friends, and family, do what you will… Sheep, zombies, whatever they are called cause me minimal harm…I guess…

I love you all, 2009 will be fine!

^amen!

^^I could not have hoped for better words. Thanks phishinsky…for both posts

Not only do i not give 2 shits about all this i find it supremely ghey that
a 3rd party chose to start another thread about it.

Message to the new people and old who should know better.

Vern and Greg have always been antagonistic. Move on.

I agree that it doesn’t matter. I also don’t know either of them so it further doesn’t matter.

Im glad the thread is here tho because the original got locked and people obviously have opinions about it…

You’d do it for Randolph Scott!

fine like fine elderpine wine!

damn, sam!

Phishinsky with some coherent posts? Nummy!

(please don’t leave ;D)

well, he hasn’t deleted his account yet, so maybe he actually was just “trippin”

I started the thread because the original was LOCKED.

SHEEP???

Phish is a social movement? I thought Phish was a kick ass rock n roll band that is second to NONE.

People getting fucked up? yeah people get fucked up all types of places, I’d rather get fucked up at a Phish show at least 1 out of 3 days that is…

Music fans are music fans whatever band you are talking about. The snob old fans and the love everything new fans, always the same any band.

Phish fans are my personal favorite, at least WE know the names of the songs and the lyrics that’s more than most radiohead fans can say. LOL

Phish had their day as THE band. not that they don’t have some great highlights ahead of them, but let’s face it–things move on and things change and Phish has probably seen their best days. but maybe i’m wrong…

in the end, who cares? it’s music, which is important only so far as it pertains to one’s personal journey. i’d say the noobs are in for the best of it because the vets (for the most part) feel they’ve seen the best their is to see and nothing could top it. i feel i’m somewhere in the middle. i’ll give Phish my undivided attention and try not to create expectations that are too high to traverse.

you know what? this is completely the wrong thread to post this in. i don’t even know what the hell i’m talking about. yet i will still leave it here because i’m loco in the cabana.

^CJ, that statement about Phish having seen their best days doesn’t necessarily HAVE to be true. Talent and ability only stops growing when people stop caring to improve. Physical energy, rapid coordination and such decrease with age, but creating their best music is not necessarily based on these alone. They can compensate by making changes to the compositions, bring in support musicians, or write new stuff that they’re motivated to play in the way they used to.

It’s kind of all up to them at this point, but I wouldn’t necessarily condemn their future playing to a mere reflection of their better days. I’d put that Tweezer from 2/28/03 against any Tweezer in their past, and that was during a difficult period for them as a band, when everyone was kind of pulling apart.

^^^Sorry if I over-generalized. However, to quote myself, I never actually said that phish was a social movement. I said a lot of phish fans (or any jam music for that matter) would claim to be part of one. For me (and most true phans) it’s all about the music and nothing else. I also enjoy getting intoxicated at shows (for at least one night!). I also wasn’t trying to insult anyone for the way they choose to enjoy music.

However, originally the “hippie” movement was a social one, and there are a lot of people involved in the jam band scene today who think that they’re a continuation of that. I just find it to simply not be true. The 60s proved that it’s hard to make a point when you’re spun out.

Jesus christ…when did all this happen?

One day away from the board and this place goes right to hell.

^you know, I thought that yesterday. I was like, “man, if goldenroad had been here posting today…none of this would have happened…”

Too little too late man…too little too late.

I want both of my balls and I am going home… Wait I am home, DAMN!!! Wait, I have a set of balls, DAMN!!!

Will, I have been here long enough to know that I should not take anything personal. I speak my mind when it is time and that’s it… We all hide behind a 'puter, so nothing should be taken to hard… That being said I love this place and have no plans on leaving yet…

I still say that yes this whole thing was blown up and yes I am glad there was a thread about it, to let others see how the small folks feel, like me… The whole “I am outta here” deal is teh ghey anyhow, him being here or not, does not affect anyone to harshly and I’ll bet we all live fairly normal OKP lives regardless…

I love you’ll cue sappy love tunes from some innate band Greg loved smile

^Hey W3, you know, I’m really glad you decided to stick around the OKP and be a regular posting genius. You seem to feel right at home here, very relaxed with the vibe, and that’s pretty cool.

Looking forward in 2009 to your continued contribution to the amusement park that is the Ohkeepa. Thanks for coming on board.

Devin is here, now we are all good, I love me some good Devin speak now and then… Happy New Year to the northern brotherhood!

I’d say the whole thing was way blown up. Most arguments and disagreements over the interwebs are. There are a lot of ways people could go about the problems instead of blowing up and, making a big scene with a post, and then leaving. It’s happened before and I’m sure this won’t be the last time.

^word…
