Funny there’s a Dog Log in this show…kind of, ahhahaahha.

This Halley’s closed the second set seven years ago and did not let up!
A high energy version with a real nice peak.

9/17/00.

has severely damaged my face.

thank you.

It’s a double dizzle!

First, is probably my favorite link of the month.

The transition into Buried Alive is “turn on a dime” tight and the return to Tweezer includes some secret language.
Who said early Tweezers don’t rock?

And ten years later, one of the longest versions of Ice.
Definitely worth a listen if you have never heard it.

Going back 18 years for today’s sequence.
It would have been pretty insane if they had continued to do these segues later on in their career.

Here is part of the Soundcheck from 8 years ago.
Pretty funny “lyrics” and they jam out to some Jewgrass.

Only one show was played on this date and it went down seven years ago.
This Piper gets pretty spacey in the center.

I figured you’d do that “Piper.” Or the “Tweezer,” which from what I recall was good but nothing spectacular. That show was my only indoor show.

Thanks!

Yeah, it’s kinda slim pickin’s from this show.

I had only been listening to Phish for about a year at that point, and it was only my second show, so I didn’t really know what was going on.

I got a kick out of the clapping in "Stash (which I knew to do from ALO), and when everyone sang along with “Fee” in the first set.

I don’t recall too much from the second set. Oddly enough, this was the only show that I was not altered in any way.

I’m pretty sure I was 5 or 6 drinks deep before every show I ever saw,or simply in the midst of a roadtrip bender, except for maybe first night of Miami because we were late. good times.

although I do regret it. getting drunk in those Alpine lots for 3 hours before the show is not a recipe for remembering the night perfectly. ahhh.

::waits for a chance for redemption::

::but knows he would do the same thing::

and thanks for the soundcheck aug. Soundchecks have been gettin’ me off lately.

Here’s a sweet sequence from 19 years ago.
There’s some funny banter about the underage John Paluska and the old school vocal drum fill into Peaches.

“Mr. Wilson”, that’s classic.

That Wilson > Peaches segue is killer. I’m a big fan.

Here’s a killer Jesus Left Chicago with Carl Gerhard.

Here’s another killer cut from 1991.
This is the legendary “Dr. Seuss” version of Bowie.

Great Bowie! With a nice… well… a tribute anyway, to Theodor Seuss Geisel (March 2, 1904

After playing one of the worst first sets I have ever seen, the band came back and absolutely DESTROYED the second half of the night.
This trio that opened it is full of funk, space, shrage and general face-tearing madness.
It gets THICK, yo!
