HAPPY ANNIVERSARY *Thank You!*

i was lucky enough to have been in attendance of both 11-11 and 11-13. the GR show was just sooooo good, with that Ghost as well as a nasty-azz Birds and a very, VERY uplifting Theme. it was one of the few shows i was right up front for, and Trey was into it in a big way.

i’ve been searching for a good recording of the Cleveland Meat>Hood for quite a while too, as it always stood out as one of the coolest jams i got to see that fall. so thanks!

I was wondering if you would pick '96 Suzy or '98 Meat for 11-13, but then you give us another double shot. Good deal!

O…M…G
IT’S ANOTHER DOUBLE-DIZZLE!

Usually, I stay away from Cantaloupe from 17 years ago, but this one is too good to pass up.
Aside from the fantastic quality, this one has some sweet “Teen Spirit” teases in the vocal section.

And from the second show of their Fall '97 Tour, the band really started to spread their space wings.
I don’t really think any show from the Tour is underrated, but if their was one, this would be it.
I also really like how relaxed this Slave is.
Great stuff.

After throwing it down hard in Orlando the night before, the band rolled into Tampa with the same amount of energy.
This Mike’s is nearly 20 minutes long and has a sweet transition into Life On Mars?.
Check it.

IT’S GETTING TO BE RI-GOTDAMN-DICULOUS WITH THESE DOUBLE DIZZLES!

First is an almost 35 minute Simple from the Fall '94 Tour.
Much like the beefy Tweezers from this Tour, this Simple runs the gamut of all psychedelia, rock & funk.
Not to be missed.

The next link comes from my favorite set of the Fall '96 Tour.
Fuck the “Hood” chant, let’s get a LEIGH FORDHAM chant going.
During this Hood, Trey holds a note for…THREE FUCKING MINUTES (complete with fist pumps).
This one is a classic trio and MUST be heard!

I’m heading out of town until Sunday afternoon, so here is tomorrow’s link.

From a fantastic sounding tape and show, comes a SOLID trio with a vicious Bowie.
I LUV old Bowie’s like no other.

Aug…always the utilitarianist.

Gotta love it.

Thanks!

Gotta love this time off year - remembering all the fall tours - weather just turning and hanging out all day in the lot. I find myself checking this board daily just to see what selection is going to be posted and maybe I was at the show. Been lucky with that lately GR 98, mpls 96, omaha 96. also thanks for the doubles a! lots to choose from - I am behind in downloading so im going to get at it. Enjoy the vegas release this week everyone - and don’t forget some other 11-15 love with the M set from st louis 96 - dust that off and give it a listen…

12 years ago, The Brickhouse YEM was created.

DOUBLE DIZZLE ALERT

The first link comes from one of my favorite Fall '95 shows.
This Tweezer is in my Top 5.
Page really shines later in the jam and the overall feel is a real laid back funk.

This second link is from ten years ago, from one of the best Fall '97 shows.
The second set of this night seems to get all the attention, but this duo from the first is truly killer.
A funky as hell Gin into a SHRAGETASTIC Llama and you are set.

“SHRAGETASTIC”?

Can you please define this word?
;D

A fantastic display of shredding and raging, which is what I look for in my Phish!

He’s right!

Talk about underrated.
This Bowie is an absolute rager.
They waste ZERO time taking it out there and it just gets crazier and crazier.

Mmmmmm…'94 “Bowie.”

Thanks!

I think today I will mix it up with a lowly circulated interview from 16 years ago.
The first half is conducted at a local Diner and the second part is backstage at the Somerville Theater.
Trey speaks about the phish.net, Picture of Nectar, writing songs for Rift, signing with Elektra and how Mango Song is about a junkie (he said, back then, that it was not about him).
Pretty interesting listen.
