I really like that second PNC show. The “Drowned -> Rock and Roll” is utterly fantastic. IMO of course.
^ Your opinion is shared by many and not shared by the Hater’s! That segment maybe the best thing from the first 8 shows of that tour! Of course the Jiboo jam from July 4th is the tittylicious jam of the whole tour IMO!

Hey…I said it first!
Sort of.

Goes back to listen again. Will report back soon!
I really like both Atlanta and PNC shows.
I also have many unpopular opinions, like 8-8-97 was the best show of that four day run (8/8-8/11). :o :o :o
a
Whoa. That 8-8 call was unexpected! There are a couple people on the board who call that the worst show ever. I skipped it after seeing radiohead the night before in Chicago. 8-10 was just what i wanted/needed when the time came!
13 years ago, this Antelope brought the house down.
If you’ve never heard this version, be warned…it might make its way into your Top 5.

And just because it’s Sunday, one of my Top 5 Tweezers from 7 years ago.
Same thing goes for this Tweezer…it WILL make your Top 5.

That “Antelope” is definitely one of my favorites. Gotta love the “Disease” jamming. And in the Murat no less!
Hmmmm…never heard that “Tweezer.” May have to listen to it.
Thanks a!
Thanks man, I don’t think I have heard that Antelope.
^
They were nice enough to include it on one of the LP releases (6-22-94).
The first time I heard it I was blown away.
Like, totally, man.
Today is also the ten year anniversary of this show

Everyone talks about the Lille show, but 12 years ago, The Phish brought down the Mann in Philly with this sequence.

If you haven’t heard this, quit lying to all your friend(s) and finally man(n) up and CRANK this!
As for that other anniversary show, the FIRST person to quote this post might just find the DVD’s at their doorstep.

The jam out of Disease included Can't You Hear Me Knockin' teases. This version of McGrupp was very spacy and was filled with Makisupa teases. The subsequent Makisupa was unfinished. Trey altered the lyrics to Antelope to pay tribute to Antelope Greg, a well-known fan who, as of this show, had only missed a handful of shows since 1994.
Enjoy.
