HAPPY ANNIVERSARY *Thank You!*

We sure can!

On August 16th, 2008.

thanks, richard.

Holy crap. I feel like crap.

We’re kicking December off right, homeslizzles.

First, is a great nod to the GD and Jimi from 23 years ago.
A nice sounding tape with a little Jeff in the mix.

Second, is an underrated version of Split Open.
The legendary second set seems to overshadow this EVYL performance.
Check it.

12 years ago, The Fish played my all time favorite version of Tweezer.
This is the OG Tit Rippa.
Relentless & Ruthless, this one puts your entire face at risk.

And for good measure, a highly underrated version of Ghost.
This one has that ferocious start/stop funk that all the girlies go nuts for.

Nothing like the Giant Country Horns to get you going on a Monday morning.
Am I the only person that always heard the horn part in their head when they played Cavern?
Can’t be…

Nice selection. That Alumni Jam is always the biggest tease to these ears.

From an otherwise forgettable show comes one of my Top 5 versions of Split Open.
Lengthy and trippy, this one continued the trend of killer Split Opens from 1999.

Seemed like they took about 10 minutes to decide to play it too!

Another night during December ‘95 and another classic is born.
This lengthy Gin has Mike funkin’ up and down your block.
There is a brief Tweezer Reprise section before turning into a psychedelic head fuck.

For good measure, I have to include the Absolute Worst Phish Show I Saw.
It’s such a shame they had to debut this killer tune on such an off night.

Thanks Aug, that Jenifer Dances really takes the cake for the best

the band ever churned out, a must for every collection

You mean I wasn’t supposed to download it???

Download directly into bun and enjoy

We’re kickin’ it old school today.

The first link comes from 21 years ago.
The older version of Bowie includes a faster, jazzier section after the vocals.
It’s pretty cool if you’ve never heard it and the guys sound like they were pretty F’d up that night.

This second link is another that should be heard at least once.
This Possum intro went on for 59 minutes!
Not really, but this is all that circulates, so maybe it did…WAIT!..

Damn, I could actually feel my bowells moving when I read that.

This duo is truly one of the greatest and most psychedelic moments of the band’s career.
It’s rare that a Weekapaug gets crazier than the Mike’s, especially when the Mike’s is a full-on face searer.
Focused and evil, this version segues directly into Weekapaug for the second time in the week.
Also, this segue sounds very similar to “7 Below”.
This version gets way out there and includes both a lengthy Maze tease and an official “Digital Delay Loop Jam”.
How do they end it?
By just leaving you out in space.
So good!

Augustus!!!

You’re killing all of the surprises of PROJECT 95!! Not that it matters. PROJECT 95 has been at a standstill lately. Is this a “Malibu Fire” situation? Just curious.

P.S.

Maybe I’m all alone here but I liked that JENNIFER DANCES possibly even better than FARMHOUSE>…discuss…

Rock On!@!!!

You are very alone.
Actually, the Hampton Jennifer Dances is pretty good.

ShnFam makes the rules.
We take long coffee breaks.

I’ve heard good things about the 12/7/95 “Mike’s Groove,” but how is the rest of the show?

Since this is the download thread, I figure I’ll share my embarrassment here. I’ve been collecting/trading shows for about 10 years now. Through BT .shn was the reign supreme back in the day. However, I always hated them. It’s not because they were too big in size or anything, it’s because I could never get them to convert as a whole. Here comes the newb part. I used to have the mkw icon on my desktop. I would take all the .shn files and drop them onto the icon but only half of the songs would be converted. So I’d have to sit there forever converting shows. For example, if there were 16 songs the first time it would convert 8, then I’d drop the remaining 8 songs on the icon again and it would only convert 4, then 2 then finally the last 1. What a pain in my ass that was! Not until last week did I try to actually open the mkw program and drag the files on to it similar to the .flac program. Wow I felt like a dumbass when I saw all the files were being converted instead of half of them. I still have most of Project 80’s that hasn’t been converted because I didn’t want to sit at my computer all day. Goes to show even experienced traders/collectors/PC users can be a newb from time to time…I hope. Enjoy your laugh for the day.
