I’ve never once seen any of those shows deemed the “Best Show They Ever Played”, which people stupidly claim Nassau is.
a
I haven’t either.
My criteria for an overrated show isn’t the fact that people claim a show is the “greatest ever.” I was just basing it on shows that get a ton of hype.
7-11-00 is a prime example of that…you know that as well as anyone.
I def agree with you!

07-11-2000 actually has a great first set.
To call a novelty show Best Ever is just crazy talk.
a
The “Moma Dance” and “Theme From the Bottom” from 7-11-00 I are some of my favorite versions.
The “Drowned” is good but not as good as 6-29.
I love the second set but I think the way people hype it or praise it is a tad overboard.
well to each their own.
I think at least 90% of people who call 2.28.03 the best show they played are being completely sarcastic.
I think it has some of the best flow and balance of the post-hiatus era, but I don’t even know if it would be in my top 6 or 7 post-hiatus shows anymore, if I took some time to think about it.
But yeah, that BOTT is performed masterfully.
The band never played on Leap Day, silly.
Here is a recap of February.

Indeed a great version of a song I don’t hear too often.
I wonder if “Rocky Top” would sound good with JP on harmonica? My gut says yes.

^Those shows are great. I think Hank sent me those a while back. I had 'em in the car for a long time, great stuff. Can’t complain about Spring 1992.
