HAPPY ANNIVERSARY *Thank You!*

Here’s some more '94 goodness.
I’m a big fan of this entire version of YEM.
CD can eat it.

that is a killer possum up there, and this YEM is amazing

20 years ago, the band played their only version of St. Thomas.
Check it!

I can’t believe it’s been eight years since this legendary Ghost.
Break beats, UFO lights and carpet make for a strange time at a show.

I love Mike’s playing in this version.

I love this Ghost.

Very akin to the 2nd set jams of the Went.

especially around the 22 minute mark

This Ya Mar might start out in the wrong key, but it makes up for it by closing with a lengthy (and killer) jam.

YES!

Definitely my favorite “Ya Mar” ever.

Weird, this morning as I was getting into the shower, getting ready to turn the puter on to have some tunes, all I wanted to hear was Ya Mar, but couldn’t fida good one.

What a great tune to start the kickoff of summer.

Favorite outdoor show opener.

8-12-96 at the creek was my favorite.

cool.

Yep, I’ve always viewed this as the ultimate Phishy summer song as well.

Not coincidentally it was the first song I saw them perform live.

Has anyone seen my Jane Fonda Workout Tape around?
So cold!

Here a sweet link from a classic 80’s show.
You get the fast version of Sanity, an atypical ending to The Sloth and a killer YEM.

hmm I hadn’t ever heard a fast Sanity…the song is much more effective slowed down

^WRONG!

Fast Sanity OWNS!

Here’s the debut of Simple and one of the weirdest versions of Mike’s.
An opera singer comes out for the second half of the Mike’s and the Possum features the audience playing along with their boxes of mac 'n chee.

DOUBLE DIZZLE ALERT (YEM ed.)

Two classic versions of YEM were performed on this date.
One has the classic “Pool” vocal jam and one featured some extra bottom courtesy of Les Claypoop.

I could be completely off…

But I think I remember reading somewhere (Relix more than likely) that Claypool was incredibly high on mushrooms during that '94 show.

Must have been fun times.

booyah I’m going to be listening to YEMs all the live long day!

The Fish closed out their lengthy Spring '94 Tour with this kick ass show.
Here is the stellar Split Open from that night.
