No but seriously, this has been a very nice birthday, and I have talked to a lot of people I care about, and this is such a nice thing to come on here and see. Gonna chill with a very cool lady and have some beers and merriment.
Mother Nature is bringing me a present tonight after midnight, and it’s going to last all day tomorrow as well. Supposed to be 6-12 inches of snow!!! What a fantastic birthday present from the Earth. I’m the biggest snow freak I know, and now I get a snowstorm for my birthday. Awesome! I really think maybe the fact that I was born in January is part of the reason I love winter so much.
Anyway, thanks again folks, and keep em coming if you got em!

Here it is: my birthday present:
Already a couple inches on the ground, snowing so hard it reminds me of living in New England. This is so fantastic. Just look at that radar! Asheville is a little bit north of dead center on the radar map. If it keeps up at this rate ::knock on wood:: we should have a foot on the ground by tomorrow afternoon. Great way to have a birthday, and great start to the New Year. I figure I’m allowed to ramble like a crazy person about the winter weather in my own birthday thread, right?
