Worked 8-4,
picked up child,
decided I wasn’t in the mood for a restaurant and hit the grocery store for some pizza fixings and a tiny birthday cake,
came home,
neighbor girl showed up to play with my daughter,
they ran around and drove me crazy for half an hour,
had them both make their own pizzas which went over very well, made my own pizza,
we ate,
the friend’s dad finally showed up to get her,
Makenzie sang Happy Birthday to me and I blew out the candles I lit myself,
ate birthday cake,
put child in tub,
and I’m now playing on the Pa until the dishes in the sink have soaked enough to wash.
I’ll probably have a ciggie after I put her to bed, but other than that, that’s all the excitement for the day. I don’t have to work tomorrow so methinks I should have gotten a bottle of wine. However, I’m not big on drinking alone. Probably fall asleep on the couch at 9 as usual. My god, am I 29 or 92?? Honestly, I don’t think I’d have it any other way. I’m happy to be in the post party stage and I’m looking forward to being even more of a grown up…might even buy a house by the end of the year, SCARY! I dunno, it’s weird to say shit like that but at the same time it feels right. Perhaps I’m FINALLY growing up?
