I feel like the Black Friday madness has peaked this year and the backlash will potentially send the pendulum back in the right direction.

Yesterday I was out and about and noticed that no one was lined up at our local Best Buy yet. I wondered if I decided to forego Thanksgiving and hold that spot, how much would I be able to sell it for later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Nice Huey Lewis vid, Kev. Always reminds me of Borat now though, when he says he’s going to name his kid “Hooey Louis”, that shit craaaacks me up.

Anyway, I don’t normally do this sort of thing, but I’m thankful for about a million things. Got some demons off my back this year, kicking some ass, getting shit done, surrounded by a loving family and loving friends, heading to New York Motherfucking City in about a month, life is good folks. Life really is good, and don’t let people tell you otherwise. Anyhow, big old spread today for late lunch, preceded by much alcohol drinking and merriment. Glad to see the family and whatnot. All kinds of old friends are in town too, which would be more enjoyable if I didn’t have so much work to do, but I’ll make time.

Hope you guys eat a big ole meal today and enjoy yourselves.
