its been way too long since I’ve heard it

Im a sucker for the old ones, 12/08/89 is some of the most on fire early
trey you will ever hear in a hood absolute laser beams
While this isn’t outwardly the case with my friends and relatives, I often imagine they’re wondering the same thing.
1994-07-16 (Fayston, VT - Summer Stage at Sugarbush North) is a good one thats my favorite at least that i can think of
Sweet pre-“Harry!” playing on the 12-6-1996 version!!
I hope Harold shows up next week…
^first night, I bet
Wouldn’t it be awesome if they just yelled “Hood!” where they’d ordinarily be singing “Harry!” ? That’d really screw everyone up.
honestly I’ve listened to alot of great hoods and even though the sugarbush hood is a close second that one from gainsville on a live one is definately my favorite. Actually my favorite recorded moment in phish history just might be that recording of hood. I get kind of emotional listening to it. I also have freinds and family that are baffled by my obsession with the band. My bandmates are the ones that are the most baffled which is funny because the singer/guitarist has been on tour and as much as he likes phish he cant even understand and identify with how much i love this band.
encore i bet
10.21.1995, not only one of the best Reba’s but also an excellent Hood…anyone who hasn’t heard it should
10/20/89.
I have no idea how this version ended up on my ipod. The Giant Country Horns are there. It’s short, about ten minutes, tight as hell and just amazing.
I’m listening to Ft. Collins 90 again right now. Another great one.
My two favorite that I’ve seen are 12/11/99 (opener - still blows my mind) and 12/31/98 - you knew that Hood was going to be the centerpiece of the NYE set after 3.5 nights of awesomeness at the Garden.
And like Fone, my love of Phish came almost exactly the same way. It can be traced back to the ALO Hood.
i agree with you there has some nice micheal jackson teases in the intro of beat it i believe. I also love the 11/22/97 and North Fayston 94 Hoods some of my favs
ALO is the best version ive heard
axilla > hood (11-16-1996)
axilla ends with some funny lee fordham banter before fishman segues into the hood with a “leeeee fordham” > hood intro. then the “harry” is replaced with “lee”. finally trey holds a high note for about 3 straight minutes during the jam while page and fish just go to twon underneath treys note. trey comes back in…finishes the jam…bang! heady ass hood
deserves a hear
One loves the 6/02/2009 Hood.
Bonnaroo Late Night seguefest= bliss
and im drunk
woo!
the Hood at burgettstown was great, my fav Hood of the first leg of the tour
11/22/97
i think the burgettstown hood is one of the best of the summer cuz mike uses that sickk bass effect for the intro parts
