After seeing The Order of the Phoenix, which I thought was great, I have been pumped for this book to come out, Saturday morning at 12:01. Who else can’t wait for the conclusion?

same old shit, just a different book. harry’s godparents give him hell, he barely goes back to school, everyone else had a great summer, he didnt. the teachers give him hell, but evil somehow comes back, harry has to save the day, all while looking like a total pussy.(nota bene, never getting any eithier)
I’ve read all of them and can’t wait for this one to come out. They’re such fast and fun reads, I’ve read all of them several times.
Also, after some of us read it, please no spoilers… If you’re going to have a spoiler, just make it very clear in the post that you’re going to do so and then hit a bunch of spaces so we can’t see it and can go by if we’d like. Thanks.

i got my wristband from the local barnes and noble and i am fucking pumped. i plan on finishing the book sometime in the afternoon tomorrow.
Yeah I’m looking forward to reading it. I read the others. I think Dumbledore will come back as a little girl. Snape will be revealed as a poop stain and Harry will marry Voldemort in Hogwarts first gay wedding. It’ll be great.

no. not at all. i stopped reading after the second. tolkien is the master. in reality, there is some awesome awesome fantasy that just doesnt get as much press b/c its not intended for such a broad audience
no, not even close to the same level as tolkien, with respect to writing ability. but she tells a hell of a story, and does that really well, and has an incredible imagination.

So spooks what is this “awesome, awesome fantasy” you speak of? I like fantasy but have fizzled out because I can’t find a writer who keeps my interest. However I did just re-read the Amber Spyglass… which kicks the butt.
Bought it on Friday, haven’t had a chance to read it until today. I’ve read about half of it and am going to work on finishing it up tonight and tomorrow. It’s pretty damn good so far.

i read this guy named r.a salvatore who has a really good series called the legend of drizzt. others i havent read but apparently really good are the wheel of time series, and “a song of ice and fire”
