Have a copy of 06/28/00 Need a copy of 06/28/00

If you think you have a decent sounding copy of 06/28/00 from the PNC Artscenter and Sonic Toilet Bowl, please let me know. The copy I have has so much ambient echo as to be terribly distracting.

Tapers as PNC should really set up at the top of the lawn instead of inside the pavilion. The sound is much better outside of all of that damn cement.

But I really need to have a decent sounding copy of the first set Gin and If I Could. The intensity of the music and the interaction between the audience and the band were just unbelievable.

I’ve only heard a very small handful of AUDIENCE sources that I find “decent”. I’m an audiophile, and I’m pretty picky. I think, as a whole, Audience sources are terrible sonically and for listeing purposes.

Believe me, I’ve listened to hundreds of different shows…I only own three shows that are audience sources, and two of them are marginal by my standards.

^sooo…that begs the question…

what is this SINGLE show where you find the audience source acceptable?

(audioSNOB more like it…

JK!)

^^ I agree whole heartedly. But you have to agree some venues and tapers combine to make some recordings much worse than others. PNC here in central Joisey is notoriously hollow sounding venue. I’ve been to concerts there where the performers apologized for the crappy sound (Barenaked Ladies).

What source of the show do you have?

I have the Neumann source and it’s actually not bad sounding at all.

yes, that was what i wanted to know…!

^i honestly was (and still am) curious Vernixx!!!

…sorry for the thick helping of sarcasm in my initial post, but i actually respect your musical taste and sincerely want to know, what is this single sonically ‘sound’ audience recording? (pun intended)

…I’ve heard people who claim to be audiophiles professing that there are some shows where they prefer the AUD over the SBD (and I wouldn’t mind hearing where you stand on matrices either…)
