just again sharing my personal experience, “these people” don’t like to be called mexicans unless they are actually from mexico. there are people from columbia, guatemala, and lots of other places coming here. i’ve had first hand experience with people getting upset with me at work for assuming they were mexicans. kinda like if someone lumped me in with some other white country i wasn’t from. so now i actually ask where they are from.
i’ve heard all the talk about people not coming here legally because they are criminals and stuff, but so far every person i’ve met here in the country illegally have been good people that have their heads on as straight as anyone else i meet on a daily basis. they just wanted to work and provide for their families. where some of them come from you might have to do something criminal to keep your kids fed. here you just have to show up to work and do a good job. that’s gotta be pretty appealing to them.
)… I just think that a little inconvenience is sometimes necessary to deal with certain situations… or to be more direct, people that are out of line… such as terrorists and illegal aliens. I don’t think handing authority some jurisdiction to do so will spell the end to all our rights. I feel it gives them the opportunity to do their job, namely to serve and protect law abiding citizens.
I don’t take any of it personally.)

oh well…
