OK OKP, I’m gonna pose a somewhat more advanced question that hopefully some of you will have experience with and be able to answer…

feels like a n00b

How do you seed a show?

I have tried reading the FAQ’s before but never quite got it to work…as far as I can tell, I need to use some software to make a ‘torrent’ file (.tor ?) and I have tried using various available progams to do this and I think have even successfully created a torrent file before. I think I’m getting hung up on how to seed it…I believe I need to ‘announce’ it somehow…

can anyone who has seeded a show before please help me out?

I have 2 dvd’s full of mmw, scofield and soulive shows from europe that my good friend Miha gave me at the jam in the dam, and i promised him i’d figure out how to share them as many have not yet been circulated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i have just gotten into the digital age and ditched the dial up. since then i’ve gone through all the pain in the ass steps of etree and related programs. it is very confusing, imo, for a noob there. i tried the mwk program to decompress the shn files and it didn’t take to my computer or files too well.http://www.magicaljellybean.com/shnshortener.shtml is what i use instead and it works great.

anyone know how to set the password for password protected flac files? on etree?

Ok, I know it was mentioned on the board somewhere, but I can’t find it.

I’m looking to convert/decompress FLAC files on my Mac.

If anyone knows of any programs that do this, that would be great.

Once again, I KNOW it was mentioned on here, but for the life of me can’t find it. ARRGRGHHH

Thanks man, I Googled it too, but I was hopeing to hear from someone that had a Mac…

I Phishinsky and groovetuber have one, possibly freebarraco…

I distinctly remember zoot posting the information I’m looking for. He had it all layed out so nicely…or whoever did it…

I guess I’ll just go download MacFLAC and see how that goes.
