It’s funny. I didn’t plan to be gone this long, but here I am!!

I’m pretty drunk right now. However, I was watching Trey on Austin City Limits tonight and I thought of you all. I know we don’t get along, and you guys don’t like me, and whatever, but watching him play I got a tear in me eye for the day when–maybe–we can all forget all the arguments and pissing matches and enjoy their music, live, again.

As for me…I’ve been writing again, but I’ve also been taking pictures and playing guitar. Trying to get some art into my life so I don’t go crazy, y’know?? I’m still working the same shitty job, still working at home, and still drinking too much. But not a day goes by when I don’t wonder what you folks are up to.

and I hate Austin City Limits. That show is fucked.

Every performance I’ve ever seen on that show seemed scripted, toned down, and lame. Even Flaming Lips.

The crowd is always super tame too. They know they’ll be on TV and probably feel like they can’t have fun.

I know its a good thing for people like Greg who don’t see live music, but its lame imo.

i saw the trey austin city limits thing last night, i like the phish austin city limits performance much better, btw anybody know where i can get me that performance, i made a thread in the ISO area before, but had no luck, i know the file was attached to another phish dvd, i think it was a europe show dvd, germany someplace maybe? 97 maybe?

Yeah I love Live TV performances where the crowd is quiet, the band tones down the jamming and the show makes them shortens all their songs. That’s always a treat.

When’s the next time Trey on Letterman or Conan? I LOVE those performances!!!
