Hidden Track

Everyone knows about the hidden track at the very end, right?

negative

The Split Open and Melt jam from 4/21/93?

Please give more explanation!

what? elaboration, now (pretty please).

Haha, I say that all the time. But then again I play way too much Raven Shield.

yeah i’m thinking its split jam/yerushalem thing

Take a listen. It starts at minute 2 of Demand, the last, sortof forgotten track on the record. Some dude gets in his car, pops a tape in-----it’s Phish of course. He turns it up and the music elevates and crescendos. All of a sudden, the dude crashes and you hear a cool rendition of the Israeli hymn? Yeshuva bla bla.

It’s pretty sweet.

Ya I know what you are talking about I haven’t listened to this album in a while I think I’ll pop it in.

That is the SOAMelt jam -> astrals comment

That isn’t really hidden, is it?

Nope, not really at all.

I think there is at least two seconds of silence. C’mon, can’t we just call it hidden?

nope

haha, that was funny to me

Go to www.phish.net/hpb and see if you can find just one occurence of the band playing Demand and following it up with that SOAM jam.

I’ll bet ya it doesn’t exist, and I’ll bet ya that Trey would say the track was definitely hidden.

they did it at the ‘gamehoist’ show in 94… but if you want to call it hidden thats cool with me.

Astral’s comment? is that what’s after the crash? I’m pretty sure i read on phish.net that it was some hebrew song, but idon’t know. Does anyone know anything more?

That whole sequence is clearly one song - DEMAND.

didn’t they use that track in the Hoist DVD footage when they drive around in the mini van?
