^ What’s the reason for the ‘official retirement’ excluding festies?? Enquiring minds would like to know.
I’m up to 171 after Fall Tour. Will be 175 by end of the year
^&^^ yes they would.
II’d like to get back on an official count. It’s been an approximate guess for many years now. I’m now thinking I may spend the afternoon tallying and finding out my stats once and for all.
I’ll be over 20 by NYE. People are all like “you’re crazy. why you go see so many shows?”…then I refer them to this thread. You guys are awesome!
Hit 30 on night 3 of Hampton.
Wonder if Katiemay did her numbers yet.
Hey Devin that’s impressive man, have you always lived up in Northfrig’?
Sometimes I hear myself tell someone how many times I’ve seen this band … and the look on their face is basically justified, since I can’t ever seem to explain. It’s like, you start to form the words, and you realize it’s pointless. Sometimes, people seem to have made up their minds to not understand.
I’m at 28 here.
Missed this whole fall, which I’m still bummed over and no plans for NYE run so who knows when the next one will be?
Same here. Baby #3 coming very early July, so I have no idea when my next will be.
I hear ya. Even though my babies are now 8 & 4 they still prevent me from seeing shows.
My babies are 19, 13 & 12 … as long as I’m the responsible party, which is probably forever now, all frivolities are unnecessary intrusions upon energies that could be devoted to the home and the family. What I’m trying to say is, it’s over forever.

Actually that’s not true; it gets exponentially easier as they age, with regards to getting your life back. But for me, I recognize that things will never go back to the way it was when I was 17, is what I’m really saying.
^^Same here. I had my first child in 2001 and was a single mom until she was 8. Since 1998, I’ve only manged to squeeze in 34 shows, but I suppose that’s not too shabby considering the 5 years of hitatus’s, my foray into single-motherhood, the obtaining of 2 degrees, and of course working to support us. Now I have 2 kids and a husband, but I still managed shows 31-34 at my first ever Hampton last month
I usually make 1-3 shows a year depending on how much love they show the south because I don’t have the money for flights.
Wonder if Katiemay did her numbers yet.
I did not. I know it will take awhile and instead of just starting and doing it bit by bit, I avoid the whole task (the story of my life). Also, I tried a few years back and had trouble remembering if I was at some of them. I have stubs, but have lost some along the way.
I really want to do my personal stats though, so it is still something on my agenda.
108, and feelin’ great

98
1st show = Deer Creek 1995
Was hoping to hit 100 this year…didn’t work out though.
Hopefully next year!
^ Brian, you can hit 100 if you come to the MSG shows!!
Just sayin’
I’ve been to 77 shows. 1st was 3-22-93 and my last was 8-4-13. Actually not bad for a left coaster. More than I’ve seen Grateful Dead and Jerry all together. ![]()
72 so far… 2/26/03 was the first and 10/26/13 was the most recent… Both at the DCU Center (née Worcester Centrum). I’m hoping to make it at least to #73 this year…
I spent a large portion of my afternoon tallying my number; going through the setlists of every year since 94, writing them down, cross referencing stubs (of which I am missing an alarming amount) and the official grand total I came up with is (give or take)…200!
(Edit: I originally had 201 but had Coventry written down as 3 days).
My initial count was 198 and I was so close that I was like “Now I have to go to MSG!” After going through my stubs, I came across some I had forgotten I was at, bringing it up. This may not be the exact number, but it is very close and the one I am staying with; counting forward from here. With the miscount, I thought my beloved 11/1 show had been my 200th, but alas, it was 11/2. It’s cool that my count is at an even 200.
Not done yet…I am off to plug the list into ZZYZX and I will be back with my personal stats! I am giddy! Big day in Katiemay’s Phishtory. 7/10/94-11/2/13.
Edit #2: Going back to the original post, my longest consecutive streak was surprisingly 13 from 7/29-12/31/03. I did the full 97 and 98 summer tours and most of my shows/traveling in the late 90s-early 00s, but there was always a show or 2 I didn’t go into that broke up my streaks.
