How many shows have you seen? and....

I’ve got about 65-70 starting on 3/22/93 and ending at 8/15/04. Soon to be adding 5 more to the list that’s not listed…

Hank, how are you pulling off so many shows?

how aren’t I?

ah I’ve just been saving money as much as possible, plus I have 2 part-time jobs, both of which allow me to take lengthy amounts of time off. I’m touring on the cheap (no hotels, staying with friends or sleeping at Wal-Marts). And seeing Phish is really the only thing I’m passionate about at this time in my life. I’m 24 years old and have the opportunity to go all out the next year or so (maybe longer :D), and I’m taking that opportunity.

NICE!! Amen, brutha! Ahhh the 20’s

^ atta kid, hank! :::turns green with envy:::

This thread has inspired me to try and make an official tally. It is quite an undertaking and making me feel worse than usual about my faulty memory. I am sitting here reading extensive show descriptions and still not sure if I was there. I will finish this though…I’m doing it for me!

Hell of a first show there. I have yet to see any Phish. My first will be on 6.9.09

so i’ve been searching for some old thread about what shows i’ve seen, figuring i must have already done this. but it’s now taken me more work to search to this point than it would have to just type out my shows attended from memory. To add angry to aggravation, i’m compelled to continue to search even still, just because I’ve come this far now. I’ll be back one way or the other.

;D

Side notes:

First rock concert: Cheap trick at Six Flags Great adventure when I was like 10. My Dad took me.

After that my Dad took me to see Van Halen at MSG in 1984! I was 12! We had seats in a luxury box! I’ll never forget it. Freakin’ David Lee Roth and Van Halen at their peak… cursing at the crowd and jumping around in leopard spandex. Awesome. ;D

My Dad eventually took me to see my first Dead show as posted… up there, 3/17/92. I went with my Dad and his best friend, Uncle Sam (who shot himself ala Hunter S. Thompson style at the age of 53 back in 2006, RIP, loved him) and my best friend Jerry. My Dad had ticket privileges and parking at the Spectrum thru his work (same with the VH MSG show) and we entered thru the lounge/restaurant area with floor seats 20 rows back from Jerry.

20 rows back from Jerry Garcia singing He’s Gone? = priceless.

That may have been the first time I shared a joint with my Dad.

We also saw the 10/7/94 show together… with Dad, Sam and Whit… and they drank me under the damn table and I puked in my seat! NOOOO! LOL. We were drinking what was the equivalent of 32oz Hurricanes… Philly style but like the N.O.L.A. drink. Haha, I could never hold my liquor.

This is the sort of thing that happens to you when your Dad and his friends saw the Grateful Dead with Pigpen in 1969. It’s passed on…

Zero! Phish’s music is great and I think it’s just as good on a live recording as it is if you’re there when it’s being played (probably even better if your extremely far away from the stage) but I’m sure it is an unforgettable and amazing experience being there to experience it curse my jumping on the bandwagon so late and living in Suckville, Arizona! Come on it shouldn’t be a requirement that you gotta see em live in order to enjoy their music!

Sounds about right for the person that has never seen them. :-*

Not a requirement, but you don’t get the full experience.

What does Calvin Klein have to do with Phish?
