Some people just can’t handle themselves when it comes to drugs, and its cool you were able to realize that about yourself.

Last time I got drunk was 2 weeks ago on the golf course. Don’t get drunk all that much, so it’s all good!
0-16 no indulging
16-18 occasional drinking when we could get it.
18-21 drinking whenever, but mostly weekends
21-26 drinking, acid,smoking, sometimes daily for long periods, to intermittant as I could afford it
26-30 less drinking, no acid, occasional smoking, mostly an introspective period of awareness
30- 50 met Marie and became an instant father: no smoke or hallucingens, rarely had a drink
50-now occasional smoke and drink on the weekends mostly to slow the pace down, rarely if ever getting blitzed

I would say that the longest I have been “sober” (no drinking or drugs) since I turned 19 is about 10 days. It may be closer to 6-7, I’m not sure.
Sadly due to a roommate losing a job, I had to move out of the apartment and back in the parents lately. It’s alright cuz they’re pretty cool but, obviously, smoking down goes out the window. But there’s this weird dynamic since they’re only at the house about half of the year since they’re often on vacation for months in Florida in the winter and for weeks at a time in Northern Michigan in the Summer. So I’ve had this strange thing where I rage on the ganja for every waking moment when they’re gone and then I drop it cold turkey for when they get back and live normally. It’s kind of weird but somewhat encouraging in how I can drop it when I need to even if the secretive nature of my smoking makes me I feel like I’m 16 again.
Anyway, so I belong in the sober thread for now and I have been for the last two weeks but they’ll be leaving on Friday or so so I’ll be raging once again. HURRAY!!

well i took one hit from the bong yesterday after a 2 week detox in africa…
my friends are stopping the blazing due to school related issues, it would be advisable for me to stay clean as well but i really dont want to…
my school is putting into effect a new random drug testing policy on every student that wants to park, play sports, or participate in after school clubs… to say the least i’m absolutely clusterfucked for lacrosse…
but random drug tests up to 5 times a month makes me want to load up on the pot and stick it to the man even more… even if it means my suspension from school and probation

We had random testing for all 4 of my high school years (96-00). Then after I left they got rid of it.
I had a buddy who was busted twice…for TOBACCO.
^dude that is incredibly bunk. The thing that pisses me off is that, from the actions of your teammates, this f’in policy is working! The kids aren’t doing drugs cuz they’re afraid of not being able to play sports. Fuckin’ aye.
I was feeling those vibes of oncoming authority back in my day, which was only '00–>'03. Glad I got out when I did, cause we had some good, pretty much worry-free times on our sports teams.
I’m not sober. Probably never will be. But I support those who want to be sober.
