alright, I think one thing that contributes to the epic, molasses-like sluggish-ness of our board is there’s too many damn boards. I say we erase all 4 or 5 of the boards above the mod board. All of the things in those boards could be brought up in non-phish discussion.

the shows/meetups board has to stay, and I guess the member projects should stay too since people have put work and creativity into that board. but individual Phish members board could possibly be included in General Phish discussion. I mean, those four guys are all members of Phish. That is their main identifier.

and most drastically, I think all of Album Discussion and Individual Song should be thrown in with live phish discussion or general phish discussion. there’s just too much, plus most of those threads haven’t been posted in in two years.

haha no actually it doesn’t really bother me all that much, but to me it is evident that this board will soon die, or at least will continue to steadily decline in liveliness.

maybe that’s just what needs to happen, but we should try to shake things up a bit.

normally this would be a topic for the mod-only board, but half of our active members are mods anyway, so FUCK IT!!

oh, forgot about the Archive (just git rid of that) and trading boards.

all of those could be combined into one. Show trading. Not Buy, Sell, Trade separated.

This place is fine as it is.

Once we had fewer boards, and it was no good.

Has it been five minutes? Have you deleted your account yet? Maybe you should stick to PT if you only want one board… possibly that is more your speed.

I agree with Hank, there are too many boards. If the number of active members was larger, then there wouldn’t be a problem, but as it is boards just die.

I agree that perhaps a little streamlining might be in order, but all the things you described were just a little much.

I think more boards are in order here not less like perhaps an exotic services board, or a cookie recipe exchange board and a how to best ruin your life board

i think the thing is that we never really had that many members who posted on a regular basis, so you loose 20 of them and that is more than half

i like it the way it is, if things are streamlined, thats fine as well, i come here b/c everybody is pretty up on the times/intelligent and like many of the same things I do, also… I do not have thet time to get into 30 post convo’s about things and like how many of the pages while don’t have 50 pages of posts, have 2 pages with quality info regarding whatever

weekends, i try my best to not be on a computer at all, im on it, over 40 + hrs a week for work and just don’t want to stare at the glowing box when i can be doing other things I enjoy to do

also, and this is a big thing, Phish isn’t touring, sure there is still plenty to talk about, but there is no “new” phish, if/when that happens you can bet this place will have many more posts per day

maybe more advertising is needed? another spot on phish.net? maybe not? another game of chess with mike, would he be up to it, he is on the road for a bit, has to get board at some point on the bus? I don’t know… I still enjoy spending time here and never see that going away
