Two chicks at one time.

see all the national parks
tour the world
chase the sunset in a airplane that never lands, refill the gas by one of those gas tanker airplanes, u know fly at the speed that is necessary to have the sunset on the horizon for infinity, or the sunrise, either way… basically if this was done i’d be suspended in time, i like that idea
plenty more escaping my dome right now
plenty more
haha that is a great post right thar
seriously, two chicks at one time is an unfulfilled dream of mine. Someday.
If I could I would…
Ensure that all the people in my life would be happy and healthy.
Get my pilot’s license and learn to fly a plane.
Give my dad that vintage Mercedes he’s always wanted with a big red bow on it just so I could see the look of sheer shock and amazement on his face.
Sit down with my first son Noah and just talk to him about life, and how his is going.
Own a charming little house on the beach somewhere in the Caribbean with a hammock and a ton of palm trees…and a lot of rum.
Learn how to play the bass well…
See Phish play again. I’d also see a few other bands that I haven’t crossed off my list yet like U2, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Sade and Paul Simon.
Live in San Francisco in some fabulous loft apartment with exposed brick and ductwork…and be able to afford it.
Become a music or food critic. Or a writer, preferably for Rolling Stone or Relix…but well paid.
Go to Greece. I’ve always loved the contrast of the white buildings and the blue water and the culture there. I’d love to rent a little Vespa and see that.
Learn how to blow glass. It’s just something I’ve always wanted to learn how to do.
Finally conquer my fear of all things mathematic.
Drive cross-country and take my time seeing the sights, really enjoying every state.
I’d like to start a sports blog, even though the market is saturated to all hell with those.
if I could I would…
Travel to outerspace. Even just one orbit around the Earth.
Become a mighty guitar legend.
Roll up some dope and kick it with my friends…maybe throw a steak on the bbq and crack a few beers. Yep…lofty aspirations.
Do it here Neil. I’d enjoy reading your sports ramblings…
become a wildlife documentary maker or photographer
be fluent in a foreign language
an expert at a musical instrument
get tickets to see England win the world cup final at wembley and watch liverpool play the last game of the season with a gerrard goal in the last minute of extra time which wins them the premiership at anfield standing in the kop with my dad.
find somewhere nice to live, apartment in the centre of london and a nice house in the middle of nowhere somewhere.
see a long list of bands live
be able to move and live between countries without the need of a visa or risk of exceeding the time you are allowed to stay in them.
go to the moon
excel at a sport like downhill mountain biking or snowboarding
save some africans
Perform on a Broadway stage!
Visit all 7 continents
Climb Mt. Kilmanjaro
Live in London again, even if i have to busk in the tube station
and Win a pie eating contest
You and me both. Lord knows I type enough already about sports.
Still, I’ve got some random things:
-I’d like to go to Vegas and England. Looks like fun places. Maybe Amsterdam too.
-I’d like to be fired by Donald Trump. It’d make my day.
-I’d also like to blow up the sun. That’d be a trip. I’m still working on that one.
-Of course, my overall goal is quite simple: retirement. To get up in the morning and have all my time be to myself. Seems like the ultimate dream. Save, Save, Save…
Stevo
Stevo you and I could team up and write about B10 sports or something. A lot of the blogs I read don’t particularly specialize in one area, so I have to sift through a bunch of crap I don’t care about (Hockey and baseball, mainly).
I’m not kidding, either. I’d be all about it…we would need some sort of crafty web-designer to get us going, then we would just start writing from there.
hmm you lived in london? where abouts?
Yeah, it’d help if I had internet outside of a local library. That would help.
Still, I don’t even read that many blogs since a lot of people don’t know what they’re talking about. I like Bill Simmons and Gregg Easterbrook from ESPN but that’s about it. Both of them know their respective sports well and are fun to read…
Stevo
I studied abroad for a semester in Spring 2004 and I lived in South Kensington. It was a bit shmeh shmeh for me, but it was nice. We lived in Boston Univesity housing right around the corner from Old Brompton Rd. I miss London, especially during this time of year!
^
Both of those are pretty good, although in the traditional sense of the word I don’t know if they’d be considered “blogs.”
The ones I follow, in no particular order:
Deadspin
GhostsofWayneFontes
Awful Announcing
GratefulBlue
WithLeather
Awful Officiating
DC Sports Blog
Every Day Should Be Saturday
Mondesi’s House
Rumors and Rants
The Golf Space
these are great! i especially like “save some africans”.
i have a couple more.
if i could…
i would be able to play my guitar as well in front of a crowd as i do at home alone. it’s weird…kinda like a dream or something…my hands just simply don’t work as well when i’m being watched. no matter how relaxed i am.
lose my fear of getting married and having kids and settling down in general. this is a big one for me. i love who i love, but forever seems so…long. or something.
speaking of losing fears: bees. these fuckers keep me inside during summer days. i literally mow my lawn at night. fuckin bees. scare the hell outta me.
i would be more organized and live my life a little differently. i’ve loved my year and a half of retirement here, but it’s time to enter the real world again. floating around has been great, don’t get me wrong. but i think i miss the structure and stress of the ol’ 9-5. thus, becoming an accupuncturist is being looked at for a carreer.
Jump into my h3tty time machine and set the cruise to 1982 so I could be there for everything up until Shoreline in 2000.
Find a job working in the cath lab in a really chill town where my daughter would really enjoy growing up. Lotsa beautiful scenery with lakes/rivers/mountains, cool people, great music, and a fantastic artsy feel that she’d get lots out of. I’d never have take call, work weekends, or anything other than 1st shift.
Have another baby! I never wanted kids but now I’m ready for a 2nd. If I had the money, I’d get myself knocked up tonight…but only if it’s going to be a boy. I love my daughter with ALL my heart, but I’ll shit twice and die if I have to raise another girl.
