I'm Back

Liquid Swords is without a doubt in my top-5 rap albums of all times.

That is so HAWT!!@!:JW!J!!!one!!!

Hmmmmmmmm. Greg comes back at the same time Buster comes back. Is there some conclusion that can be erroneously drawn from this? I think so.

is the conclusion that they both went to the meat cutters convention? or were holding hands?

I think it had something to do with meat, and motocross. And there was holding going on, but I’m not sure of what.

He’s just biting my style, yo.

nice to have you back gregor

Wow, you haven’t listened to Phish in a MONTH?? God, it’s been half a year since I threw one of their CDs in. I dunno…they were center of my universe for a while but without them touring, they’ve definitely dropped in the rotation. I’m going through another Talking Heads trip now…lotsa Heads. It’s fun stuff.

The Talking Heads aren’t touring either.

WHAT!!!??? You LIE!! Take that back!!

(Yeah, I know…but it’s the current faze I’m in). I guess it’s just that I heard SO much Phish back in the day that I got tired of em. Weird, I know…

The Talking Heads, despite being an ass kicking, rump shaking live band, are mostly loved for their studio output. Phish are the opposite. I will argue to the death that Phish have great studio albums, but the truth is we all love them for their live shows, and without them touring it’s easy to lose interest.

Phish do have more studio albums then the Talking Heads though. Maybe that’s moot but I think their studio output as well as the countless live releases is enough to make Phish last the test of time even if they never tour again. I guess I’ve just gone through my Talking Heads phase, and am still in the midst of a Phish one. I wonder if it will ever end.

you rancid colon polyp

i still can’t believe greg is going to concerts/festis this summer. you go greg. have fun!!!

To be serious, I can’t even remember the last time I listened to a Phish studio album. I’ll always rather hear a live show It’s same with Pink Floyd’s Dark Side and The Wall…I have live versions like the Dark Side on “Pulse” and the “Is There Anybody Out There” live version of the Wall…I will always rather hear those than the studio versions. And say what you want, Stop Making Sense is one of the best live albums ever.

Stevo

Pink Floyd were studio masters.

I don’t think any live show I have heard of Pink Floyd even comes close to the studio album.

And Pulse is “Pink Floyd” in my book… Because it isn’t Pink Floyd without Roger Waters.

By that I assume you mean “isn’t ‘Pink Floyd’ in [your] book” … just want to be clear.

And I agree, although Waters-less PF is not the worst end result of a good band I’ve ever seen.

He’s saying it’s “Pink Floyd” not Pink Floyd…correct me if I’m wrong Willy. But I totally agree with you man. Post-Waters Floyd doesn’t count.

oh oh oh. Gotcha.

Yeah, I kind of don’t like to count the Final Cut either - Waters or not. I suppose it all depends on whether you like that album; I never cared for it.

The Floyd’s golden era had all four dudes - Wright Mason Gilmour Waters - no matter how you slice it.

I’m a fan of The Final Cut.

Definitely something I have to be in the mood for though.
