I'm Drunk/Stoned thread

When I was born I had a heart problem, so when I first started smoking and it got close to my first doc appt. since I started toking, I started to get pretty nervous that I would find out that it changed my reports, and the year before I had had a bad visit to the cardiologist, so that didn’t help my anxiety…so I would say I had the same feelings leading up to that doctors appointment, but the Doc said there were no changes…so all is good now…I don’t really know what to say to help your panics but I think that if you’ve been given another reason for your chest pains the best thing to do would just work on whatever’s is REALLY causing the pains…hope it gets better

high guys.

i’m home.

stories and pix to come.

sont3d!!!

slothy survived!!!

I’m packing a bowl in yer honor right now.

The thin air here… sit down and take a hit… stand up and blow it out. Weird feeling. Probably cutting off way too much oxygen to my head.

Way to respond with personal slander… if I had to pick one comment that is definitely NOT a smart ass comment, I was dead serious. If you don’t like the effects of a substance and you aren’t having fun with it anymore, doesn’t it make sense to a normal person to quit? And if you’re not normal and can’t quit, you just might be an alcoholic. At any rate if you want to get rid of the negative effects and feel better and can’t do it alone, go to AA. My advice was by far the best I’ve seen on here. If you’re looking to use a drug and not have to deal with the negative consequences, then good luck, that’s all I have to say. I’ve known a lot of people, myself included, who tried to find this, and everybody failed. You can easily see why.

No offense mate, but One doesn’t think going to a program on a physically addicting hard drug which kills hundreds of thousands and ruins lives is needed for someone wanting to quit pot. Also, any program which asks you to turn your life over to an entity which may not exist (God) is a little silly, IMO. Not to belittle anyone’s beliefs, but even if there is a god, he can’t make the decision to stop using for you.

On a different note, welcome back Sloth! Looking forward to reading about your travels.

It works for anything. Trust me. If he wants to quit, that will work. Whether you or he thinks he needs it or not, if he does it right, it will work, if he or anybody wants it. And you may think the higher power thing’s silly, but the people who do it all say it works, and it saves their lives. What could be LESS silly than something that saves thousands/millions of lives!? God might not exist, but their belief in it is as real as music, and thus it saves their lives. I think that’s awesome.

Serious discussion in this thread=buzz kill.

Welcome to the bait and switch thread. We get you in here with talk of being drunk/stoned, and then we discuss AA, quitting drugs, and God. Ha!

Also, Ship of Fools never said he wanted to quit puffing. In fact, I believe its quite the opposite. He just doesn’t want to freak out every time he puffs. Yaheard!?

I was saying if he was really tired of negative effects he could try quitting.

This thread is ridiculous.

I am with YEM. If the negative stuff ONLY happens when he puffs, and he quits for a period of time and has no panic attacks or anxiety, then we know it’s related to smoking. Solution? Quit smoking.

Yeah… all about that cost/benefit ratio.

And even though I don’t anymore, whenever I find out a historical figure or person I know, especially adults, smoke(s/d) weed, i gain more respect for them, rightfully or not.

Ever heard of “the boy who cried wolf?” :’(

All I’m saying is, on this page of this thread is the only time I’ve seen you post anything semi-insightful and positive.

side note-if there are emoticons ;D does that mean there are also emoti-pros? :o

And that’s a good notion.

Dude, I was spittin’ wisdom like fucking Gandalf on the first few pages. I can sum it up for you “I’m super blazed”

^ The first two pages of this thread are a train wreck. the first 21 post are fine, and then post 22 happens, and the record scratches and then goes silent, cars squeal to a stop, people drop their glasses, about 100 simultaineous gasps suck all the air out of the room.

I’m behind on this one and normally wouldn’t respond, but you sound stressed and I’ve been in the same boat, Ship. (HA HA. Me make funny.) Absolutely not outrageous - I’ve had the exact same thing happen from time to time. I’ve had anxiety issues in the past, and basically I just found that weed made it worse, not better. I did some research and it turns out this kind of thing is not uncommon, and in some folks it can be bad. We think of weed as all mellow - it’s a depressant after all - but it can definitely lead to anxiety or panic attacks, or exacerbate problems with them.

Now, I’m here to tell you firsthand that they can and do go away. It’s not like it has to be this way forever and ever. I wish I could give you some clear steps to take care of it, but in my case, I basically just reflected honestly with myself about the things that were making me panic or feel anxiety. And then I worked on those things in my life - my job, my unhappiness with my living situation, bad habits that I didn’t like, etc - and stopped smoking altogether while I did so. Eventually I was in a better place, and I could return to some casual smoking without it making me freak out. Quite the opposite - I got completely stoned out of my gourd since I had no tolerance left.

Anyway, obviously I’m not going to tell you what to do; that’s up to you, especially in regards to smoking. I just want you to know that you’re not alone, that it’s not a permanent thing and that there are plenty of documented cases of pot worsening or causing anxiety. That may not sound like good news but I was glad to find that it wasn’t just me. So I’d suggest laying off it for now, and doing what you need to do to stay relaxed and calm and all that. I think you’ll find after a while that the panic-reaction is history. If you wanna talk about it any further, PM me anytime. Good luck man.

man this is outrageous…back in the day i toke and was mad chill…then after a few months i would tweak at the peaks of the experience whenever in public or on the verge of leaving a chill environment and i would just tweak balls…then i started chillen out and going with it…i think it was a maturity thing or something. cause right now i’m straight chilllen after poking some smot.

Oh and yeah, I was slightly marinated when I posted that. Which is, as we say in the literature biz, ironic.

yeah my bad that is terrible… plus i was smoking mids from wayne who is in prison for armed robbery right now
