I think it’s best to stick with substances that are on the Earth frequency…your frequency. Anything that grows or exists here naturally and can be used/consumed in its original form. The more something is refined, the more hazardous it becomes to the natural system. Everything from heroin to high fructose corn syrup.

THis was posted in the 8/1/09 thread but what the fuck - i’m putting it here too.
Listening to the SBDs of 8/1/09 now, and haven’t looked at the setlist so I don’t want to read thru all the posts yet. But there is a REALLY obnoxious girl in the front row that is screaming through the entire show.
After “The Curtain” – which was amazing and very emotional, at least for me – she starts screaming “PLAY THE VACCUUM!!! PLAY THE VACCUUM!!!”
After the first “Mound” since who the fuck knows when, she starts screaming “BOUNCING AROUND THE ROOM!!!”
Now I’m not a “Bouncing” hater, but holy shit. Shut up.
Her voice could cut glass, and right now I’m up to PYITE and I’m really hoping she OD’s before the 2nd set. The tragedy is her shrill voice is in the official release, so we’re stuck with Trey, Mike, Page, Fish and Barb from Westchester for all of posterity. I wish they’d figure out a way to mix this bitch right the fuck out of any future releases of this show.

I think Phish- as a complete package- are better than ever before in 2009. There, I said it. I mean, what are the arguments?
1993? Ok, so they were more spontaneous then, but Mike and Page are both exponentially more adept on their instruments. 09 musicianship trumps 93.
1995? Yes, they were rocking in 95, but there were many great facets to the whole Phish sound that had yet to be developed. 09 experience trumps 95.
1997? Yeah, Trey finally learned how to stop playing the guitar all the time, and it was new and exciting. But the thing is, he’s better at it now than he was then. Again, 09>97.
2003? Well, I’ll agree that PH Phish was a fantastic synthesis of all the different things they focused on in the 90’s and that there were some peaks in 03 that are hard to argue with. But 03 was fueled with drugs. When it was right in 03, it was SO right, but there have already been more talk-about-it-to-your-grandkids moments of this tour than in all of 03. 09 consistancy trumps 03.
Now I’m on Fluffhead. Life is just a bundle of joy.

if you sense bad vibes - go somewhere else.
it is possible (but not fun) to talk to police/authority figures without them knowing anything’s up; just relax, breathe, act sober, and have confidence that you are an awesome person. if they notice something, they’ll probably assume weed.
Definately agree with the go elsewhere when the bad vibes are present. Dude, the first time I tripped we were sittin around the campfire on Halloween of 2000 and some dude starts passing his satan mask around, and everyone was trying it on. They handed it to me, for my “turn” at this ritual, and I freaked and ran into the woods!
