Had some delicious North Coast Old Rasputin last night, then followed it up with a Rogue John John Dead Guy (not much of a fan, too much of a whiskey taste which I later learned came from it being aged in a whiskey barrel).
Then i sparked a big ole bowl of sweet tooth with a nice calzone on the side.

You will want a heavy plastic rather than metal. If you put a coin in there you can get metal shavings in your kief, which i have to imagine is pretty bad for you.
I would guess those space case screens could shave plastic, as well, no? Also, THC has actually been shown to leech chemicals from plastic, which is why glass is the way to go when dealing with THC related products.
I am not 100% sure what the science is behind this theory… but if it’s the size and weight (as opposed to texture or material), I would think these could work:
^ I think those little glass beads would work. I’ve also tried the grinder in the freezer method. Bang it downward on a suitable surface and it should knock loose kief stuck to the screen and edges.
Meh either way i still don’t like grinders.
A) They make your weed taste bad
B) They remove most keif
which are two of my favorite things about good weed. IMO a grinder can turn any dank into beasters.

grinders dont make weed taste bad. theres no reason they would alter flavor at all. when used properly they grind weed to perfect rolling consistency. if over used you end up with powder. i have a full on kif box…i grind…empty contents onto screen and then put into a paper. as long as you dont stir it all around n shit most of the kif ends up in yer doob. minimal amounts fall through my screen.
if you dont like the grinder, highwaybill…put endo into shotglass…scissor the shit out of it…then roll it up. or pack it up. kif stays in shotglass with material obviously.
regarding taste…according to your logic…wouldnt breaking it up or scissoring it make the “weed taste bad” ? in your opinion, highwaybill…
at any rate…i dont like the idea of intentionally knocking trichs off the herb(ie. putting coins, etc, into space case)…unless of course your goal is to make hash.
if yer into that sort of thing however you may as well buy some regs and a chunk of hash. 
I think space cases are best for leaf/trim/stem that you wouldn’t smoke but still has trichs on it.
or get an extractor and make hash oil. mmmmmmm. nothing like vac purged hash oil to start off the day.
No because when i break my bud i break a large peice off stick it in my bowl and smoke it. If I’m rolling a joint i break it with my hand very carefully as to remove minimal amounts of keif. You ever notice shake taste bad? When you get the bud all packed in a small space so close it has very little oxygen flow, thus making the weed taste bad. Don’t get me wrong i like an occasional joint, but they completely mask the smell/taste of the weed. It makes it taste generic. Best way to smoke = break a bud off and stick it in the (clean) bowl and smoke directly. Grinders fingers and scissor remove some taste/ quality, but i think grinders are the worst. Breaks it too finely.
i have to disagree.
imo a joint is the best way to sample flavor.
