how bout this. I got so D-runk last night and hid my nugget from my girlfriend (it’s something i do so she doesn’t end up smokng the lot of it) we just spent 45 minutes trying to find and it was on the floor of my room in a dirty shirt.
Well it wouldn’t be called carbonated for starters. It would be called heliumated or something like that.
Anyone ever try Magic Hat’s Humble Patience? Nitrogenated, nice. (I remember hearing they got the idea to brew a beer like Guiness in a can)
^ No I havn’t tried that but you’ve peaked my interest ya… I’ll have to be on the look-out.
^They weren’t initially going to sell it in bottles (they couldn’t figure out the nitrogenation correctly), but they must have worked on it double time and had the demand because you certainly can now. It’s got a great yet subtle flavor, very smooth to drink, and bitterness not to be found anywhere. Am I a sales rep you ask? No, but maybe I should be ;D
I love the Magic Hat brew and my local mart usually has a decent selection of their stuff including the seasonals etc…
DMB is an ingenious jam band led by a nonalcohlic singer and a modest/noble bass player. their drummer could use some practice tho.
I’m actually more of a Long Trail guy myself. I have certainly downed my share of the Hats, but sometimes it just seems too exotic (if that’s the right word) and I just want a straight forward ale or whatnot. Anyways, Long Trail Blackberry Wheat rules them all: great flavor, not too syrupy (read: the sweet doesn’t eat at your stomach), and it’s seasonal so they let you forget about it for just long enough and then BAM it’s Blackberry Wheat Time, Blackberry Wheat Time, Oh Yeah, Oh Yeah Blackberry Wheat with a baseball bat!!
^ Too exotic? You’re looking for something more straightforward? Your local mini-mart has a wide selection of straight-up American brews. Coors, Miller, Budweiser…the King of Beers. Yeah, the King…can’t go wrong with that. Yum!!!
Sweetwater and Terrapin are my favs but this summer i’ve been turned onto Magic Hat and Buttes which are both fantastic.
^^No no no, it is not my desire to consume “yellow beer” or “pilsners” if you will, hell even “heffes”. Sometimes the Hats are too tart, Blind Faith, or too fruity, #9, or even, oh I dunno, too citric (?) Hocus pocus (I think it’s extra lemon or something). This is not at all to say they are bad beer, just not my cup of, uh, beer sometimes. PLus, when you are in a college town where the brewery is located, all of kids think to themselves, hey yeah, I haven’t had a #9 in like three hours, lets get a keg!! I think I may suffer from regional overkill. Long Trail however, seems to keep it simple, and so I side with, obviously on the wrong side of the skin ;D
All this beer talk is making me thirsty, much like these pretzels, 64 minutes til happy hour!!
Although now that I think of it, Blackberry’s might be grouped in with “yellow beer” upon first acquaintance with it, but don’t be fooled!!!
^ I’m just goofing around. I don’t like drinking alcohol very much anyway. I’m not any kind of beer connoisseur. I’m just mocking the corporate beer world.
He he, right on. I’m actually generally on the other side of the slash from the thread’s title. Just trying to defend my good standing with the biere gods. Breeze-on!
MAGIC HAT RULES ALSO… GOOD CALL^^
I mock the corporate beer world too - by purchasing hard liquor only!
anyone ever try trazodone…
now thats some good shit there
ohhhhhhhhh, you’re drunk and stoned??
let me tell YOU a thing or two!!k
stops yelling at threadd
Its offical kids, the Sox lost to the Royals again and I am trashed…Bottoms up.
I’ve been sober and sassy for two nights now!!
But that will all change tomorrow, since I have the day off and I’m heading to Anderson’s to get a slew of different beers to try them out. They sell a bunch of beer by the bottle in that store, it kicks ass, and they have a pretty large variety, too. It’s a local chain, but cool nonetheless.
late night okp=awesome
take home wings fired up in microwave=not so much
