so fone…remember how you said that jimmy and lois couldnt tell superman was clark kent because they are reporters?
i was thinking…what about the other superheros? how come their friends couldnt notice who they were?
but to stay on topic i will be seeing this film…looking forward to it…perhaps i should research what other people say about the his death before i see the film…or maybe i should wait til after i see the film…
hmmm.
I just saw superman returns at IMAX Saturday, it was amazing.
I’ve been told a little bit about the conspiracy theory by my friend, but just enough to peak my interest. Outside of that, I’m waiting until after I see the movie.
btw, on the subject of people not recognizing superheroes, Marie and I just had a similar discussion while watching the last hour of Mrs. Doubtfire the other night. As good as his accent, affectation, and costume were, how could an ex-wife not immediately recognize the eyes of her once lover? There is so much recognition through the eyes, and so much, believe it or not, subconsciously through body odor, that people who live close to one another for any extended period of time are bound to see through any disguise.
In this respect, Tootsie was a much more believable movie than Mrs. Doubtfire. But forget about superhero movies. You always have to take a big leap of faith with those or else you’ll be constantly annoyed with them.
takes leap of faith
btw,

On the other hand what one doesn’t seek one will not find. Things can easily be hidden in plain sight because that is usually the last place looked for.
Ex:
If a red house is made of red bricks and a blue house made of blue bricks and a black house made of black bricks what is a green house made of?
Glass!!!
So if you said “green bricks” be expected to be fooled by Mrs. Doubtfire
Actually I’m not sure where the connection is in my statement and example but thats okay for coconuts.
Oh and never underestimate the power of denial. Thats a good one.
